Pace Factor - Ramos

The student recorded their pace counts over 5 trials of measuring a 100m distance. Their average pace factor was calculated to be 144.1 paces per 100m. Using this pace factor, it would take approximately 362 paces to measure a 250m distance. A second student with a pace factor of 0.85m per pace counted 58 paces over a distance. This distance was calculated to be 32.45m. With the same pace factor of 0.85m per pace, it would take around 176 paces to measure a 150m distance.

1. A student is about to determine his pace factor with 100m reference distance using a steel tape.

He had 5 trials and recorded the following number of paces: 145, 142, 146, 144.5, and 143.
Determine:
a. His average pace factor.
b. How many pace would it take to measure 250m distance?
