The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: (I) Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh as Director General of the Border Security Force from the date of joining until December 31, 2022 or until further orders. (II) Shri Sanjay Arora as Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, replacing Shri S.S. Deswal who retires on August 31, 2021, from the date of joining until July 31, 2025 or until further orders. The appointments will take effect after August 31, 2021.

2. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of
Home Affairs for:

(I) Appointment of Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS (RJ:88) presently Special DG, BSF as
Director General, Border Security Force (Level-16 of pay matrix) from the date of joining
the post and up to 31.12.2022 i.e. date of his superannuation or till further orders whichever
is earlier. The appointment will take effect after 31.08.2021 (AN).

(ii) Appointment of Shri Sanjay Arora, IPS (TN:88) presently Special DG,CRPF as Director
General, lndo-Tibetan Border Police (Level-16 of pay matrix) vice Shri S.S. Deswal, IPS
(HY/84) due for superannuation on 31.08.2021 from the date of joining the post and up to
31.07.2025/. e. date of his superannuation or till further orders whichever is earlier
