1. The price of a ring is RM 2,550. A trade discount of 15% is offered. What is the net price of
the ring?

2. The net price of a table is RM 800. A trade discount of 30% is offered. Find the list price.

3. The list price of a bedroom set is RM 3,999. Danial bought the bedroom set at RM 2,500.
How much discount that has given to Danial?

4. A bill of RM 700 including a prepaid handling charge of RM 50 is offered a trade discount of

5. A grocer got a bill of RM 2,071 with discount 20%, 10% and 5%. Find

a) the net price,

b) the total discount.

6. Mary paid RM 239.29 for a bag that was offered a chain discount of 15% and 8%. What was
the list price of the bag?

7. A television is advertised at RM 2,000 less 30%, 20% and 5%. Find the net price.

5%. Calculate :

a) the single discount equivalent,

b) the net price.

10. The list price of a radio is RM 4,500 with trade discounts of 10%, 8% and x%. Find x if the

discount terms of 5/10 and n/20. Find the last date to get the cash discount.

Calculate:

a) the single discount equivalent,

b) the net price.

and cash discount 4/10, n/30. On April 2nd 2017, the company paid RM 10,351 including
transportation cost RM 175. What was the list price of the item?

Find the net price and the discount amount.

17. An invoice of RM 3,500 dated 19th May 2017 had cash discount terms of 6/10, 2/15, n/30.
The invoice was settled on 29th May 2017. Find the cash discount and the net payment.

b) Find the total payment made if Khalif Dayyan decided to settle the invoice on 1st August
2017.

and 15%, and cash discount terms of 3/20 and n/30. On 1st June 2014, the company paid
RM 9,054.60 including transportation cost of RM150. Find:

a) the list price of the item,

b) the total discount obtained upon payment in (a),

c) the single discount rate which is equivalent to the trade discounts given.

20. An invoice of RM 5,000 dated 7th July 2017 was offered 10% trade discount and cash
discount terms of 5/10, n/30. Find the net payment if the invoice was paid on 15th July 2017.
