1. What is Artificial Intelligence?
● Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that
focuses on the creation of machines with human-based skills such as
learning, reasoning, solving problems, and making decisions.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is progressively making significant
advancements in technology and business. The availability of
massive volumes of data and advances in affordable high computing
power is continuously sustaining AI’s growth.
2. Advantage and disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence?
● Artificial Intelligence (AI) has its advantages and disadvantages. For
its main advantages, AI machines or systems reduce errors and have
high accuracy when it comes to making decisions according to their
pre-experience or information previously gathered. AI systems also
formulate decisions and carry out actions way faster than a human.
They can be useful in performing repetitive tasks and taking risks
instead of humans. For its disadvantages, the creation of AI requires
lots of time and resources. Its hardware and software need to stay
updated in order to meet the latest requirements, therefore, it costs
a huge amount of money. In addition, AI is not capable of out-of-the-
box thinking as they only perform what they are trained or
programmed to do.
3. What are the influences of Artificial Intelligence?
 ● The advances in the field of artificial intelligence have profound
influences across many industries. These advances directly influence
the production and the quality of products and services. Artificial
intelligence has also dramatically enhanced the efficiencies of our
workplaces and is capable of taking over repetitive or dangerous
tasks of the human workforce. Artificial intelligence has already
become part of our daily lives in a number of ways. The ads we see
on our social media are targeted ads generated by AI. The product
recommendations online, music recommendations from audio
streaming sites, and social media friend suggestions may all be
influenced by artificial intelligence. AI was made possible because of
the advancements in computer processing speed, new chip
architectures, Cloud computing, APIs, as well as the emergence of
big data and data science. As more advancements are made to AI
technology, it will become even more widely used in daily life.
4. Give at least 5 Examples of AI Application and describe.
A. AI in Healthcare - Healthcare Industries are utilizing AI to make a
more reliable and quicker diagnosis than humans. One of the
examples of AI in healthcare is Buoy Health, an AI-based symptom
and cure checker that employs algorithms to diagnose and treat
illness.
B. AI in E-commerce - AI is contributing a competitive advantage to the
e-commerce industry. As an example, eBay, an American
multinational e-commerce corporation, uses AI to provide customers
with personalized product recommendations. They also use AI-
 powered functions like Image Search and eBay ShopBot, a personal
shopping assistant.
C. AI in Social Media - Social Media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and
Instagram use AI to analyze large amounts of data geared toward
recognizing the latest trends, hashtags, and interests of various
users.
D. AI in Robotics - Artificial Intelligence has a prominent role in
Robotics. With AI, it is now possible to create smart robots that can
accomplish tasks with their own experiences without being pre-
programmed. An example of this is the robot named Sophia, a social
humanoid developed by Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics, who
has the capability to talk and behave like humans.
E. AI in Entertainment - With the use of AI algorithms, entertainment
services like Netflix are able to generate personalized
recommendations of programs or shows to its subscribers.

1. What is Internet of Things?
● IoT is a network of devices that can sense, receive and transfer data
over the internet without any human involvement. The internet of
things (IoT) is implemented in numerous areas such as smart-home,
health care, logistics, and other areas. IoT utilizes emerging
technology for sensing, networking, and robotics. It also employs
 advancements in software, hardware, and modern approaches
towards technology.
2. IoT - Advantages and Disadvantages?
● The advantages of IoT extend across every area of lifestyle and
business. IoT has improved customer engagement and experience. It
also heightens device use and supports more useful improvements
to technology. IoT enhances data collection and provides real-world
information resulting in more efficient management of resources.
Furthermore, all the applications of IoT cause improved
convenience, and better management, thus, enhancing the quality
of life. For its disadvantages, with all of the IoT data being
transmitted across connected devices, there is a risk of losing privacy
as a hacker could likely steal confidential information, thus absolute
security isn't certain. And because IoT is a complex system, it’s
possible to experience failure in the system. It is also challenging for
devices from different manufacturers to communicate with each
other because there’s no international standard of compatibility for
IoT.
