Dear Ms Shangeetha,
I would like to apply for your internship for information technology students in 2022. I was made
aware of this opportunity through the job advertisement on the company’s website, as I searched for
internship companies that would allow me to gain experience with technical operations while
developing my knowledge and qualities. I was attracted to this exciting opportunity, as I am eager for
a challenging but rewarding internship.

As a student working towards my Diploma in Information Technology at Sunway College, I hold a


CGPA of 3.12. During my time in college, I have acquired skills in web development, mobile
application, networking and security, and business communication. Using my knowledge above, I
designed an online marketplace for my first IT project in college.

My academic program at the university strongly emphasises preparation to enter into the professional
workplace. Our curriculum includes many projects that involve collaboration, report writing, and
presentations in front of my classmates and peers. Additionally, I am an active member of the Sunway
Tech Club, a campus-wide programme built for students to experience IT and computer-related
development through a hands-on approach. As a participant, I focused on developing my technical
skills by participating in events and workshops. With this in mind, I have come to seek an opportunity
at IBM to utilise the skills necessary in a workplace context.

I am excited about the prospect of learning about new technologies within the workplace, and I
believe that an internship with IBM is the perfect opportunity. I possess excellent analytical skills and
an understanding of information and operating systems, making me believe I am the right candidate.
The current and emerging technology of the PC industry is constantly evolving, and I believe I have
the ability to compete in the workforce.
