All WORK shall be performed in good workmanship and safely manner in
accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO Construction Safety Manual and in
relevant General Instruction and SAUDI ARAMCO Standards.
All work shall be executed in strict compliance accordance with the Scope
‘of Work and all relevant Drawing(s).
All Work shown on the Drawing(s) and not included in the Scope of Work
shall be deemed to be included in the work.
All WORK included in the Scope of Work and not shown on the Drawing(s)
shall be included in the WORK.
Any Conflict between the Scope of Work and the Drawings(s) shall be
referred immediately to the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer.
CONTRACTOR is held responsible to complete the project conforming in
all respects to the details and requirements of this Scope of Work as
shown in the Drawings and all applicable Saudi ARAMCO Codes and
Standards.
It is the intent of the Scope of Work to generally describe the major
‘components of the WORK. It shall not be construed to be an itemized
listing of each element of the WORK or procedure for the construction of
the entire project. CONTRACTOR shall include all works necessary for
the proper completion of the project ready for efficient operation
The documents forming the Contract are to be taken as mutually
explanatory of one another and shall be read as a whole. Anything
‘mentioned in the Scope of Work and not shown in the Drawings, or shown
in the Drawings not mentioned in the Scope of Work, shall be of like effect
as if shown or mentioned in both. CONTRACTOR shall promptly refer any
conflict, discrepancy or inconsistency of information between the
documents to the SAUD! ARAMCO Project Engineer, who shall promptly
make a determination in writing within the bid clarification period. Following
award, any adjustment by CONTRACTOR without such determination
shall be at its own risk and expense.
This construction scope of work describes only the technical content of
activities required to construct additional walk-in chiller and freezer.
Details contained therein must be read in conjunction with other contract
documents to obtain complete understanding of the full requirements of
the MID-FORM CONTRACT-LUMPSUM.
CONTRACTOR is responsible for the transportation, food and provide
accommodation to their personnel outside the camp.

2.0 BID SUBMISSION
CONTRACTOR shall submit a Lump Sum Bid to supply all labor,
permanent, temporary and expendable materials and equipment including
spare parts required for the completion of the works, unless otherwise
shown on the Bid Drawings and/or described in the Scope of Work and
other Contract Documents,
Prior to submission of Bid, CONTRACTOR should obtain clarification of
all questions which may have arisen as to intent of the Scope of Work, or
any conflict between the Drawings and the Scope of Work or with the
actual site conditions, including possible obstructions during construction
or anything that would prevent or hinders progress of the WORK as.
described in Section 1.9 above.
CONTRACTOR acknowledge that (1) it has fully understood all
requirements to satisfactorily complete the WORK, (2) it had the
‘opportunity to request clarification prior to submitting the Bid as described
in Paragraph 1.2 above, and (3) that the Bid include all the cost of
‘completing the project and all incidental costs or cost of unforeseen
works.
Any failure of the CONTRACTOR to take the actions required and
acknowledged in this Solicitation Provision will not relieve the
CONTRACTOR from responsibilty for estimating properly the difficulty and
cost of successfully performing the WORK or for proceeding to
successfully perform the WORK without additional cost to SAUDI
ARAMCO,
3.0 MATERIALS
CONTRACTOR shall supply all_ permanent, temporary and expendable
materials, equipment and articles including spare parts necessary to
complete the WORK unless specifically described in this Scope of Work,

3.5 The CONTRACTOR shall plan availability of all materials in advance. The
CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for any delays caused due to lack of
availability of CONTRACTOR supplied materials.

It is the intent of this Scope of Work to generally describe only the major
components of the work. It shall not be construed to be an itemized listing

described in Section 8.0 “Technical Requirements” of this Scope of Work

bid submission. Failure to do so will hold the contractor responsible for any
extra costs that may arise in order for that certain work item to be closed.
All work in conjunction with this installation shall meet the provisions of this
scope of work, and all applicable SAUDI ARAMCO Engineering Standards.
Review of the material submittals by the Saudi Aramco is for purpose of tracking
the work and contract administration, and shall not relieve the contractor of
responsibility for any deviation from the contract documents, or providing
‘equipment and/or vendor services by the contract documents where were omitted
from the material submittals
It is the sole responsibility of the Contractor to supervise the project as per the
contract agreement.
Only personnel skilled in their respective discipline shall perform the work.
‘Workmanship shall conform to Saudi Aramco Standards. Project Engineer has the
sole authority to determine whether the completed work is satisfactory or not. If in
his assessments any material has not been properly installed or finished, the
contractor shall replace the material wherever required and reinstall them in a
manner entirely satisfactory to the project Engineer without any additional cost to
‘Saudi Aramco.
The contractor shall be responsible for any equipment or installation damaged
caused by his employees, (this includes roads and finished surfaces), during
construction and shall reinstate, replace or repair as directed by the Project
Engineer.
HIP, Execution Plan and material submittals MUST be submitted within a week
upon official project awarding.
2.0 PROJECT SUMMARY
2.1 The scope of work includes the installation of new walk-in chiller
and freezer with structural steel sunshade, _ concrete
footings/pedestals, anchor bolts in Dining hall/Kitchen in Building #
501 complete with the associated piping, accessories, electrical
and instrumentation, The use of appropriate equipment should
apply in this work to ensure proper safety procedures are executed
for this work.
2.2 Electrical works, instrument cabling and installation of other related
electrical devices are indicated in item 6.0 of this scope of works.
Electrical materials used shall be UL or CE approved.

3.0 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
3.1.1 CONTRACTOR shall meet with the Saudi ARAMCO Project
Engineer to establish an overall schedule for construction and to
facilitate the required arrangements with least amount of disruption
to the Proponent.

3.2.1 Without limiting the generality of the application of the SAUDI
ARAMCO Construction Safety Manual (CSM) and other SAUDI
ARAMCO Safety Standards, the Safety Requirements shall include

3.2.3.6 Jobsite Safety Logbook (JSL)
3.2.3.8.1 CONTRACTOR shall provide hardbound JSL_at

3.2.3.6.2 Copy of minutes of safety meeting and toolbox

3.2.3.7 Work During Hot Weather (Heat Stress)
3.2.3.7.1 CONTRACTOR management is responsible for
managing their employees work so as to avoid and
prevent heat related illnesses.
3.2.3.7.2 Heat Stress management shall be the responsibilty
of the CONTRACTOR thus CONTRACTOR shall
conduct a thorough heat stress evaluation to
identify task and conditions that present a potential
heat stress hazard, and subsequently develop and
implement a heat stress management program in
accordance with Volume | Paragraph 4.17 of the
SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.
3.2.3.8 Hazard Identification Plan (HIP)
3.2.3.8.1 Before start of any Work Site activities,
CONTRACTOR shall submit Job Specific Hazard
Identification Plan (HIP) to SAUDI ARAMCO
Project Engineer for review and subsequent
approval by appropriate SAUDI ARAMCO.
Agencies. The HIP shall be developed and
approved in accordance with Volume | Paragraph
6.0 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM and shall add all
requirements as’ per joint hazard identification tour
described in Paragraph 3.2.1.2 above.

32.3.8.2 CONTRACTOR shall implement and adhere to the
specific HIP.

or seriously ill personnel prior to arrival of

requirements of SAUDI ARAMCO Engineering
Standard, SAES-S-007. Collection, storage and
disposal of all nonhazardous and hazardous waste
shall be in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO
General Instructions, Gl 430.001. Alll Class Il and
Class Ill waste as per SAES 007 are to be
disposed of to the nearest approved SAUDI
ARAMCO Landill Area.

3.4Before doing any WORK, CONTRACTOR shall verify all measurements at the
construction area for their accuracy. No extra charge or compensation will be
allowed on account of differences in actual dimensions and measurements.
3.5All areas in the vicinity of WORK shall be protected from damage. Any item
that is damaged or marred as a direct or indirect result of the WORK shall be
restored to its original state by the CONTRACTOR. Any items which cannot be
removed shall be protected against the effects of the work and any water
damage or mechanical defect.

satisfaction of the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer.

4.1 Project Drawings
4.1.1 The following Drawings are referenced as part of this contract. The
contractor is expected to thoroughly familiarize himself with the work
site and with the Drawings and Technical Specifications. Any
discrepancies must be brought to the attention of the Saudi Aramco
engineer immediately. Do not proceed with any work where there is
a known discrepancy until written direction is received from the
Saudi Aramco engineer.

4.2. As-Built Drawings
4.2.1 Upon Completion of all works, submit one set of “As Built” Drawings

7.4.1 Contractor shall verify the existing conditions at site. Switch off, lock-
out and tag all related power supply before start of any work. Power
supply isolation shall comply with the requirements of G. |. 6. 012
“Isolation, Lock-out and Use of Hold Tags”.
Before conducting any electrical work, the Contractor shall obtain
work permit, take all necessary precautions and make sure to keep
the site a safe and clean working environment
All works to be performed shall be properly coordinated to the
proponent, Loss Prevention Division, Fire Department and the
Building Occupants that will be affected during the performance of
the replacement work.
Work procedures, Hazard Identification Plan and schedule of
activities shall be submitted to the proponent and Area Safety

7.2.6 Confirm that no sharp & rough edges in any metallic installation,
particularly where cable tends to be pulled. Where a conduit enters
box, fitting, or other enclosure, a bushing shall be provided to
protect the wire from abrasion unless the design of the box, fitting, or
enclosure is such as to afford equivalent protection
7.2.7 Ensure that all exposed metallic materials are protected from
corrosion. Galvanization paint is required to restore corrosion
protection requirement whenever cutting, filing or bolt tightening is
performed
7.2.8 Perform cable test prior to termination to guarantee the acceptability
of cables before placing into service. Test results shall be recorded
in a test plan and test equipment to be used shall have a valid
calibration certificate at the time of testing. The same shall be
submitted to the Saudi Aramco Engineer/representative.
7.29 Color-code each conductor entering every box, cabinet, panelboard,
through and wire way with a heat-shrinkable type or Scotch No. 35
color-coding tape.
Power cables shall follow the color coding for phase identification as
per SAES-P-104 section 6.11.3.
7.2.10 Be responsible for the cable schedule and cable routing. Cables at
termination points shall be identified by the use of permanently
embossed wire markers of the heat-shrinkable or slip-on type based
on the cable schedule.
7.2.11 Perform the continuity and insulation test for the electrical motor
driving the pump before putting into service. Test data should be
recorded in a test plan and all values must be acceptable against
the standard recommended values before motor energization.
7.2.12 Install systems, materials, and equipment level and plumb, parallel
and perpendicular to other equipment systems and components.
7.2.13 Install electrical equipment to facilitate servicing, maintenance, and
repair or replacement of equipment components. As much as
practical, connect equipment for ease of disconnecting, with minimal
interference with other installations.
7.2.14 Ensure that the new equipment shall have the electrical rating as
specified in the drawings and scope of work. Whenever new
equipment with higher rating shall be provided, contractor shall be
responsible in upgrading the system at no cost against Saudi
Aramco,
7.2.15 Whenever necessary, provide materials and accessories even if not
mentioned in the Scope of Works or not reflected from the drawings
when deemed as required in order for the replaced equipment to
operate safely and without a glitch.

7.2.20 Saw cut excavate trench for new chiller feeder cable(s) installation.
Trench depth and dimensions shall follow the SAES requirement for
a specified voltage and its finished surface shall be restored to
original or better after the cables have been laid.
7.2.21 Assure that new cable trench route shall be carefully planned and
studied by the contractor to avoid electrical service disturbance with
other loads. When deemed as necessary, Ground Penetrating
Radar shall be used to detect the existence of live conductors in
possible pathways. Cables shall be rerouted when necessary.
7.2.22 Lay out new cable 8AWG x 3-1/C or 6mm? Cu. (10AWG) chiller,
THHN-2 cable, rated 0.6/1 kV to ground + 4-1/C 10mm? (BAWG)
grounding cable from the panel board to the new chiller.
7.2.23 Lay out new cable 8AWG x 3-1/C or 10mm? Cu. (AWG) freezer,
THHN-2 cable, rated 0.6/1 kV to ground + 4-1/C 10mm? (8 AWG)
grounding cable from the panel board to the new freezer.
7.2.24 Install and layout new 2 x 2° Flexible Liquid tight Metallic Conduit,
conduit fittings and support, and connect to the new chiller electrical
compartment.
7.2.25 Ensure that protective relay setting of Chiller and Freezer upstream
protective relay devices in the panel board matches the new load
configuration.
7.2.26 Guarantee that all materials to be used shall be ULL. listed or

10.2 Commissioning
10.2.1 CONTRACTOR shall arrange with the vendor to

10.3 Warranty

14.0 PROJECT COORDINATION AND WORK SCHEDULE
14.1. The work will be executed in an operational facility. The CONTRACTOR
will be required to pay maximum attention to ensure smooth project
execution. Shutdown or isolation any operating equipment shall be
coordinated to Saudi Aramco Representative and approved by Operation &
Proponent.
14.2. The project will be executed with no or minimum disruption to the facility
operation or activity. Contractor might be asked to work two shift schedules
after Normal Working hours, on the weekends and holidays.
11.3 CONTRACTOR work schedule shall change subject to the demands of
Saudi Aramco and their need to coordinate the work with other activities.

Other chiller and freezer requirements and specifications:
Factory assembled, single-piece chassis, air-cooled chiller unit
Contained within the unit cabinet shall be all factory wiring,
refrigerant piping, controls, refrigerant charge (R404), and
special features required prior to field start-up.
Unit will be having Microprocessor based controls capable of
controlling and providing safety to the chiller. Frame shall be of
heavy-gage, painted galvanized steel. Cabinet shall be
galvanized steel casing with a baked enamel powder or pre-
painted finish. Cabinet shall be capable of withstanding 500-hr
salt spray test in accordance with the ASTM B-117 Standard.
Condenser fans shall be direct-driven and rpm shall conform to
manufacturer requirements, shrouded-axial type, and shall be
statically and dynamically balanced with inherent corrosion
resistance. A\ir shall be discharged vertically upward. Fans shall
be protected by steel wire safety guards. Fan Motor shall be
protected by motor temperature sensors.
Chiller and freezer shall have a maximum water-side pressure of
300 psig. Chiller and Freezer shall have a cooler drain and vent.
Low-ambient protection: unit shall have factory-installed cooler
heater. Refrigerant circuit components shall include replaceable
core filter drier, moisture indicating sight glass, electronic
expansion device, and suction/discharge service valves/ports for
charging of refrigerant or checking refrigerant pressures.
Flexible Rubber Coupling: Rubber expansion joints shall be of
duck and rubber construction with full - faced integral duck.
Expansion joints shall be internally reinforced and furnished
complete with steel retaining rings and capable of operating at a
temperature of 20°F through 240°F and a pressure ranging from
