METHOD:
Multiplex Real Time Reverse Transcriptase PCR
(RT-PCR) which simultaneously detects several
Coronavirus specific genes such as E, N, S,
RdRp, ORF1ab.

A "Detected" result strongly indicates probable
infection and should be read in conjunction with
clinical symptoms, exposure, travel and
epidemiological history.
.
A "Not Detected" result indicates that no SARS-2
Coronavirus genes is present in sample/swab.
This may also occur in very early or late
infection. If there is a strong suspicion of
COVID-19 disease, then it is advised to repeat
sampling (NPS and OPS) for retesting.
