Controller Operating Instruction

The system adopts DKD 51 controller, and the outline diagram is shown in Figure 1. See
Table 1 for the indicator light function, key function and external interface.

Red
( Serious fault ) There will be a flash of 1s on and 1s off when a serious fault occurs.
Serious faults include AC power outlet, DC over-voltage and under
voltage, fuse fault, module fault, DC shunt fault, LVD fault, etc..

Indicator Yellow
( General fault ) When a general fault occurs, there is a flash of 1s on and 1s off. General
light
faults are those other than serious ones.
Description

Green When the system is working normally, the running light is on.
When the system's LVD 2/battery protection fault occurs, the running
lights goes off..

When the value is modified, it is the " Increase" key while at the other
↑ Up
status the ↑ will be “up” selection key.

When the value is modified, it is the " Decrease" key, while at the other
↓Down
states the↓will be " Down" selection key.
Key function
description Enter the next level menu, or enter the value modification state, or
Confirm key confirm the value storage.

C Exit Return to the last menu or cancel the numeric change.

Main interface of monitoring


The indication above will disappear in 3 seconds and the system will turn into main
interface of monitoring unit; each page will indicate 4 groups of parameter
information; you can view the different parameter information by pressing keys "↑"
and "↓", which include:
DC (PV) voltage, AC voltage, load current, main battery current, system status,
battery status, shown as follows:

Main menu of monitoring unit


You can enter the main menu by pressing " " key in main interface; the main menu
contains four parts, including operation information, parameter setting, control
output and record check, shown as follows:
You can enter different sub-items to check or set relevant parameters by pressing
the keys "↑", "↓" and " ".

Operating information
Through operation information, you can check the PV information, DC info., battery
information, module information, AC info., current alarm, environment information,
customer information and DG information, and you can switch different information
by pressing keys "↑", "↓" and " ".

1 PV information: including general information and electric quantity check


General information: real-time PV power, daily PV power-generating capacity, total
SOLAR power-generating capacity, voltage and current of each PV array input, shown
as follows:

Electric quantity check: you can check the generating capacity of solar panel during
the period by setting the time period, shown as follows:
2 DC information: indicates current DC output voltage and total load current,
shown as follows:

3 Battery information: indicates information of different battery units and the


battery charging and discharging information, shown as follows:

You can check information of different battery units by pressing keys "↑", "↓" and
" "; battery information mainly includes the battery voltage, current in the unit
(positive means charging and negative means discharging), and the battery
temperature, residual capacity of battery, shown as follows:

The battery charging and discharging information mainly includes the daily charging
capacity, total charging capacity, daily discharging capacity, total discharging capacity,
battery back-up time estimate, starting time of last equalizing charging, ending time
of last equalizing charging, starting time of next equalizing charging, starting time of
battery test, ending time of battery test and the starting time of next test, shown as
follows;

4 Module information: you can check output current of each module through this;
the indicated quantity is associated with the module number in system configuration,
shown as follows:

5 AC information: includes DG voltage, current, electric supply voltage and current,


shown as follows:

6 Current alarm: indicates all real-time failure alarms of the system; each screen
can indicate 4 alarms, and you can switch the page by pressing keys "↑" and "↓",
shown as follows:

7 Environment information: indicates the environment where the system locates,


including system temperature, ambient temperature, ambient humidity, indicated
with relevant sensors equipped, shown as follows:

8 Customer information: includes options of general information and customer's


electricity quantity check, shown as follows

General information indicates load current, real time power, daily electricity
consumption and total electricity consumption of each customer, shown as follows:
The function of customer's electricity quantity is to check the electricity consumed
during the period set by each customer, shown as follows:

9 DG information mainly includes options of general information and DG's


electricity quantity check, shown as follows:

General information indicates the real time generating power, total number of
starting, operating time of each day, total operating time of DG, and daily generating
capacity and total generating capacity, shown as follows:

The function of DG electricity quantity is to check the generating capacity of DG


during a certain period, shown as follows:

Parameter settings
You can set the system parameters through menu of parameter setting, including AC
parameters, DC parameters, battery parameters, powerdown parameters, system
parameters, alarm parameters, environment parameters and DG parameters, all of
which are the basic conditions for normal operation of the system. Change of these
parameters requires password, and the initial password is 123. You can choose the
digit to be changed by pressing keys "↑", "↓" and " ", and enter the correct
password to change the information in interface of parameter settings; the interface
is shown as follows:
1 AC parameters: in this interface, you can set the alarm value of AC over voltage,
AC under voltage, and determine the delay time of AC breakdown; the operating
interface is shown as follows:

2 In DC parameters interface, you can set the alarm value of DC over voltage and
under voltage; the operating interface is shown as follows:

3 Battery parameters: in this interface, you can set battery information, including
warming factor, reference temperature, upper limit of temperature, lower limit of
temperature, batter unbalance, deep discharge value, limited current value of
charging, equalizing-floating shifting, equalizing charge voltage, floating charge
voltage, equalizing charge time, and the parameters such as equalizing charge time,
cycle, time limit, equalizing charge keeping, terminating time of test, terminating
voltage of test, nominal battery capacity, shown as follows:

4 Powerdown parameters: in this interface, you can set the values of LLVD and
BLVD voltage and restoring voltage of different customers individually; the operating
interface is shown as follows:

5 System parameters: in this interface, you can set the language, controller IP (in
case of Ethernet) indicated in monitoring unit, communication rate of controller and
PC, the time interval of operating recording and system time; the operating interface
is shown as follows:

6 Alarm parameters: in this interface, you can set the alarm level and DI alarm; the
operating interface is shown as follows:

In alarm level, you can set all alarm levels of the controller, including important
alarm, general alarm, not alarm; the operating interface is shown as follows:

In DI alarm interface, you can set the type of DI entry alarm, which consists of
high-level alarm and low-level alarm; the operating interface is shown as follows:

7 Environment parameters: in this interface, you can set the upper and lower limit
of ambient temperature and humidity, and the upper limit of system temperature
alarm; the operating interface is shown as follows:
8 DG parameters: in this interface, you can set the values of the three ways to
start and stop DG, including voltage, residual capacity and time of battery; the
operating interface is shown as follows:

Control output
In this interface, you can control the power supply system, module, dry contact; the operating interface is shown as follows:

1 System control: in this interface, you can set soft switch of some system functions, including manual battery testing, manual
battery equalizing charging, manually starting DG, opening and closing the system sound alarm, opening and closing of battery charging
voltage temperature compensation; the operating interface is shown as follows:

2 Module control: in this interface, you can control soft switch of rectifying module and solar module, and open and close such
modules; the operating interface is shown as follows:

3 Dry contact control: in this interface, you can set any alarm setting of the system to related dry contact for external output; the
operating interface is shown as follows:
Operating log
From operating log, you can check the working log of system in normal operation and historic alarm log of the system; the operating log
and historic alarm records can be stored at most of 10,000 and 5,000 respectively, even in case of power outage; the operating interface
is shown as follows:

Operating/failure log: in this interface, you can check the system parameters during operation and the historic alarm log of the system;
