The HRCS 8 study identified five key competency domains for HR professionals: Simplifies Complexity, Mobilizes Information, Fosters Collaboration, Advances Human Capability, and Accelerates Business. The study was based on surveys of over 27,000 participants rating over 3,500 HR professionals and 1,500 organizations. A new competency model focuses on the skills needed for strategic business partnering, such as generating market insights, influencing decisions, and driving organizational agility. HR professionals must also champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, and help elevate and develop talent.
