1. What is the definition of diversity?

"Diversity" means more than just acknowledging and/or tolerating difference. It means
understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These
can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status,
age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.

2. Why is diversity important in present time?

Diversity is important in present time because it allows the person adapt their own self, it helps
to overcome cultural and language barriers, and it allows the person to develop their skills by
learning from others and makes the person a more rounded individual.

3. What can non-acceptance of diversity do in on organization?

This can result in loss of interest in their job and ultimately a loss of organization loyalty. Losing
confidence to communicate to others, and there will be a discriminations by not accepting
people. Just for examples the ITA’S and IGOROTS that they was separated groups from other
people and some people didn’t accept their organizations because of their appearances and their
cultures that different from other culture.
