B. Answer the following.

1. Describe the badminton

Badminton is an indoor sport which is played in badminton court with net using
rackets and shuttlecock. It can be played either by singles or 1vs1 or by doubles which is
2vs2. During this pandemic badminton can be not just a sport but can also be a
recreational activity that every people may play at their home if they have a vacant place
because badminton promotes physical fitness, and it helps in reducing stress and anxiety.

2. How can you show sportsmanship in any game like badminton?

The goal of every player is to win the game but not all players play with
sportsmanship. For me, sportsmanship in any game is important. Me as a player of
badminton I can show sportsmanship through showing respect, having a good attitude
when playing, following the rules and accepting my faults. I shake hands with my
opponent before and after the game whether I lose or win in our game. I also respect the
decision of the umpire and I happily congratulate the winner. By showing sportsmanship
in playing sport makes the game better and enjoyable to play.

3. Share your best or memorable experienced in badminton.

My memorable experience in badminton is when the time that we compete in the

“Palarong Bayan” 3 years ago which all the schools in our municipality compete with
each other in different kinds of sports. Because our school has no representative player in
badminton, I decided to play besides I have little knowledge in playing badminton but in
this competition there are rules so I decided to study on how to play badminton, the
equipment, the rules, the scoring, and the techniques in order for me to be familiar with it.
Then, we are trained for almost 3 days and I apply those knowledges I learned in
YouTube but the other school is training in almost 2 months before the competition. So, it
is expected that I lose in that competition but I really enjoy it. My teammates and
teachers are cheering for me which gives me strength to continue the game and make a
score. Even though I lost still I am very happy.
