Follow these steps when you unpack your drive. You can configure your Zip IDE drive as Slave, Master, or Cable

back up data from your hard disk drive to a Zip diskette.
To copy a Zip diskette using Copy Machine: Repeat the steps above to remove the read/write-protection.

just above the power connector, as shown below.
Do not forcibly remove the Zip diskette from the drive. If the diskette
does not eject immediately, try the emergency diskette-eject procedure
again.
