Marie Curie was born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland. She studied physics at the University of Paris and did research on the radioactive properties of uranium, working with her husband Pierre Curie for four years on their studies of radium. Together, Marie and Pierre Curie received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 for their research on radiation.
