INTRODUCTION
ROOF Academic Training is an education company specializing in preparation
for languages and international certificates. The company started its activity in the
summer of 2017. We help individuals and companies create the value they’re looking
for by delivering quality in General English, IELTS, SAT, Corporate English, “Study
Abroad”, French, GRE&GMAT, and TESOL + TKT services.

ROOF Academic Training is a regular member of the American Chamber of


Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham) which is a leading private, non-profit business
association supporting and promoting the interests of foreign and local businesses in
Azerbaijan. In addition, ROOF Academic Training has developed and implemented a
Quality Management System (QMS), and is ISO Certified Organization which uses ISO
9001:2015 as a framework that allows the organization to document and improve its
practices in order to better satisfy the needs and expectations of its customers,
stakeholders and interested parties.

In the mentioned services above, competent and skilled employees are the backbone
of the company's competitiveness and the success of the services substantially
depends on the personality and competence of the staff. ROOF Academic Training
pays high attention to the selection of its employees. Its experienced team consists of
professionals who have studied both within and outside the country, and own
international certificates. Apart from technical knowledge and expertise, the ability of
staff to organize and communicate, as well as full proficiency in English language
(at least, 7.5 overall IELTS band score) is of main interest.

PREFACE
This manual is the third edition for non-native candidates who are preparing for
IELTS exam. It is designed to help you use language in more advanced settings by
developing your speaking skills. The publication is released in accordance with the
recent official IELTS exam data. Learning to speak and think in English spontaneously
is crucial and will be encouraged throughout the handbook. Whether you want to
communicate with foreign friends, employees, partners or clients, better English
communication can help you achieve your language and professional goals.
