Time and Action Plan
What is TNA?

01
Be quick!
It is a technique for tracking and following up of important milestones
in pre production processes to ensure timely delivery within stipulated
delivery date.

02
Be right!
Making a TNA Calendar is not just entering activity names and duration
in tabular forms, it is also about scientifically working-out the activity
duration.
Requirements for TNA calendar

01 Extensive process flow of an order from the sampling to dispatch.

02 Detailed production capacity of various departments.

03 Tentative lead time details of various raw material and buffer time
required for each department.

A successful time and action plan helps to streamline the pre production activities at different
levels. The chart also clarifies information about delays on a day to day basis. This activity chart
helps the merchandiser to monitor the sub or minor activities under each task.

❖ Once inhoused after lab test approval, the size set should be done.
❖ Based on the size set, bulk cutting is released and a pre Production meeting is conducted with all
production team members and quality team members.
❖ This PP meeting has the merchandiser, production in-charge, cutting, finishing, fabric in-charge, line
supervisor, pattern master, sample master etc.
❖ Once pre-production meeting is done the factory does pilot run.
❖ Once Pilot run is approved the factory goes into bulk production.
❖ Similar to fabric sourcing all required trims and accessories are purchased.
Spreading & Cutting

rolls of fabric onto long, wide tables in
preparation for cutting each piece of a
garment.
❖ The fabric is first cut into uniform plies and
then spread either manually or using a
computer-controlled system in preparation for
the cutting process.
❖ Patterns are laid out on top of the spread and
the fabric is cut to the shape of the garment
forms.

Sewing & Finishing

❖ Garments are sewn in an assembly line, with

the garment becoming complete as it
progresses down the sewing line.

out the rejected pieces.

during shipping and are subsequently boxed.

which are sealed.
❖ A pre-final audit is done.
❖ The last step is the final audit. This is the last
checkpoint before shipment.
