Essay 6

The document discusses whether governments should pay for healthcare and education or if it is an individual's responsibility. Some argue governments should provide free healthcare and education using tax funds, since it benefits citizens and countries to have educated and healthy populations. Others counter that it is unfair for non-working citizens to receive the same benefits as those who pay high taxes, and governments need funds for unexpected issues beyond just education and healthcare. However, the author believes governments should provide limited, basic education and healthcare services but not completely free or unlimited coverage.

Some people think the government should pay for health care and education, but other

people claim that it is the individual’s responsibility. Discuss both views and give your
opinion?
There is a public debate that citizens should be provided with free healthcare and qualified
education, or each individual should be responsible for his or her own health and education. The
following essays will discuss both views to explain reasons why each group support their idea.
On the one hand, many people believe that it is the government’s responsibility to provide
standard healthcare and decent education to their people. First, the government is created by
various kinds of taxes and fees from valuable workforces of their country, so these funds should
also be beneficial for the people as well by allocating some budgets to medical activities and
educational programs. Furthermore, since the demands of healthcare and education are
reaching at the top, their price has become very expensive around the world. For example, in
many nations, poor people are not able to obtain the treatment and education. Having a lot of
educated and healthy residents will lead to the well-being of the country.
On the other hand, some people opine that it is not free and it is the individual responsibility. It is
unfair when some people might be working hard and paid a large amount of taxes, but others
might be indolent or jobless and get the same benefits from the government. In addition, the
government will not be enough money to cover all problems related to education and health,
because they have to save funds for other enexpected problems in the future. For instance, all
countries around the world are suffering a corona virus at present. Many people lost job or even
just sit their home to quarantine for saving life, so the authorities are offering free food or
support in finance for them. If the government charges all fees in healthcare and education, they
will have no more captical for giving in these such phenomenons.
However, in my opinion, the government should be responsible for providing these services to
their citizen, but the provided funds are limited on basis education and healthcare rights. This
mean that they only will be free for certain sides such as vaccination or mild illnesses; in
education, children do not have to pay any fees for their classes from primary to high school
except college or university.
In conclusion, there are many ways to look at different sides of a matter and there have also
been opposite opinions on this particular topic. However, it still depends on the government of
each country to have appropriate policies in their social education and healthcare.
