Guidelines for second year Minor Project

1. Every student shall undertake the Minor Project in semester III and IV.

2. Every student shall work on an approved project, a group of 03/04 students (maximum) shall be

allotted for each minor project.

3. The group members may be from different programme to support the interdisciplinary functioning.

4. The students have to identify the problem by discussion with various stakeholders, site visits,

Expert-opinions and various research articles.

5. Collect the sufficient data and survey to establish the criticality of the problem to be solved.

6. Apply various tools for project planning and design.

7. Critically analyze various solutions/techniques to solve real world problems.

8. Select and justify one of the solutions identified based on the feasibility, affordability and ease of

use.

9. Learn and apply standards of engineering ethics and professional behaviour.

10. Adherence to the highest principles of ethics, conduct and practices.

11. All Submission and Assessment have to done through Moodle only. No other mean is accepted. Late
submission should not be consider until genuine reasons.

(MINOR PROJECT DESIGN) (September 21 to December 21)

1st week- (10th SEPT. 17th SEPT.) Allotment of Project Guides, Max 4 students per group
2nd week-(18th SEPT. – 24th SEPT) Introduction to domain, Selection of project topic
3rd week- (1st OCT. – 8th OCT.) Introduction to Engineering Ethics (Quiz 5marks)Mentor
4th week – (8th OCT. -15st OCT) 15TH OCT. Review-I (10 marks) Internal Expert Panel
5th week- (16th OCT – 22nd OCT) Introduction to research publication, plagiarism
6th week – (23rd OCT -29th OCT) Submission of 5 research paper literature review. (5marks)Mentor
7th week-(1st NOV. - 5th NOV.) 5th NOV. Review-II (10 marks) Internal Expert Panel
8th week – (6th NOV. -12th NOV.) Guidelines for project report & PPT to the students
9th week – (13th NOV.- 19th NOV.) Draft PPT & Project report submission through LMS
10th week – (20 th NOV – 26th NOV) Project report & PPT Submission.
11th week-(27th NOV -3rd DEC.) 3rd DEC Final Review –III (10marks) Internal Expert Panel
12th week-(4th DEC - 10th DEC) 10th DEC April External Minor Project review (10marks)
13th week-(11th DEC -15th DEC) Submission of IA Marks

4th week - (29th JAN -04th FEB) Submission of Patent Abstract, (5marks) Mentor
5th week- (05th FEB - 11th FEB) Solution Implementation, configuration overview
6th week (18th FEB -25th FEB) Presentation, discussion and doubt clearing
7th week-(26th FEB - 4th March) Trouble shooting of project
8th week (5th MAR-11th MAR) 11th MARCH 22 Review-II (10 Marks) – (Validation & testing) Internal
