METHOD STATEMENT FOR KITCHEN COUNTER WORK FOR CREST-21 (GGL/GEM/SSB)

BOQ ITEM NO:- 10. COUNTERS (Counter Top, Facia, Ledge)

Providing and fixing machine cut pre-polished stone slab with average 30 mm thick cement mortar 1:4
( 1 Cement : 4 Course sand) in required size of approved quality in counters fixed over 18-20mm thick
indian marble supported with MS angle frame with hilti fasteners including providing and applying two
or more coats of approved synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer including surface preparation,
and including front facia, verticals,Skirting above counter top , pointing with tinted white cement,
BOQ ITEM polishing, curing etc. complete all as per drawings and as per detailed specifications, making
10.1 openings/holes for sink, mixer in the counter stones and joints neatly finished with white cement paste
DESCRIPTION mixed with matching pigment to match the shade of stone including edge chamfering, moulding and
mirror polishing and filling silicon at junctions of sanitary fixtures and corners with wall wherever
required etc. complete as per drawing. Rate to include edge polishing as approved. Rate to include cost
of necessary MS framework & provision for fixing MS angle in block work as required , araldite and
indian stone to be used to fix granite over indian marble. Plan area shall be measured, with all lead and
lift and as directed by Project Manager.

With 18-20 mm thick prepolished Granite stone and joint to be filled with white cement slurry mixed with
pigment to match the shade of stone.

This method statement describes the materials and procedure to be adopted for carrying out Kitchen
1 Counter and Pantry Counter for Crest V2-125 Sq.Yds. (V.No:- 06-13) and V1-100 Sq.Yds. (V.No:-74-86)
PURPOSE/SCOPE villas as per Finishing Schedule & BOQ item.
If there is conflict between provisions of this documents and applicable technical specifications, the
2 letter shall prevail.

Material to be Used 1 Granite Stone 18-20 mm thick, Approved Indian Stone for base 18-20 mm thick, Anchor Fastener
10*95mm (HILTI), Ador welding rod.

1 The Granite slabs shall be stacked and tied on mild steel A-frames.
2 The maximum slabs can be stacked each side of A-frames should be 15 nos.
3 Equate the stack weight on either side of the A-frame during loading and unloading.
4 Care should be taken for any breakages during unloading and stacking the stone slabs.
5 While stacking the stones, arrange in such a way of facing polished to polished surface.
6 The material should be delivered to site to pre assigned storage areas.
Check availability of latest architectural drawing on site indicating joints, level, offset, type, colour and
7 size.
8 Ensure that the required tools and PPEs available at site for execution of stone works.

Ensure that the thickness of Indian stone min 18-20 mm amd thickness of granite stone is min of 18-20
9 mm or as per arch. drawing and surface quality is good for acceptance and as per approved sample.

Ensure that waterproofing work should be completed for drain outlets in mother slab if any floor drains
10 are provided.
Pre-Execution
Activities 11 100% completion of RCC and Blockwork for the location to be obtained from GPL/PMC Etc.
12 RL +800mm marking from SFL has been transferred to the location from Staircase lobby.
Ensure clearance taken from GPL/PMC-MEP etc. for electrical locations, kitchen geysers, water supply,
13 RO point, Gas line, Sink drain out and exhaust.
Ensure that the template sink of require dimension provided for respective counter tops by MEP team
14 with signed for platform works contractor.

The Indian stone & Granite stone to be used shall be cut in to the required shape and size as per sink and
15 under counter wash basin template given. Granite stone polishing and molding of edges of exact size
should be done for sink and under counter wash basin area before brought in to the work location.

If counter mounted tap is used then slot in the Indian stone and granite should be made prior to
16 installation.
If wall mounted tap is used then grooving should be made in the wall beyond the anchorage area of
17 Indian stone & Granite stone.
18 Chamfering shall be done as per specification/drawing at the edge of the stone.
Machine & Tools Measuring tapes, Grinding & Cutting sets, Drilling machines, Welding rectifiers, Plumb bob, Spirit level,
Required 1 Approved Welding Electrodes rod (Ador) etc.
Workers Required 1 Skilled Fabricators, Civil mason, Stone mason and helpers are required.
All necessary markings shall be done as per the approved drawing including fixing arrangement, in
1 accordance with construction drawing prior to commencement of the work. Set the string line to assure
line & level of the work.
2 Cutting and Welding of approved MS frame as per approved shop drawing.
3 Preparation of fixing arrangement as per drawing/BOQ.
Welding shall be carried out in accordance with recommendations of the Indian standard code of
4 practice. Welders shall be trained & certified. Work shall be done with electrodes.

ISA 50*50*6 frames to be casted inside (100mm) & filling concrete 1:2:4 Cement:Sand:10mm Aggregate
5 the AAC Block wall as per drawing & considering wash basin bowl location in such a manner that no
frame part stuck with washbasin bowl. For the exact location of washbasin consulting with MEP team.

No cutting to be done on column, frame part at column will remain exposed and Hilti anchor bolt to be
6 used for fixing frame on column it will provide additional support.
After frame completion make sure all the welding joints filled well and top level of frame is in one level.
7 One coat of primer to be applied on frame.
Cut the Indian stone 18-20 mm as per drawing and fix it over MS-frame. Make the cut out for washbasin
8 bowl and mixer pipe by consulting with MEP team.
Make sure all the joints to be finished neatly by filling with white cement with matching pigment to
9 granite colour.
10 Stone edge chamfering & Final polishing to be done after all the activities completed.
11 Check top level of all the stone supports using spirit level.
During Execution The approved granite as specified in BOQ/Specification/GFC drawing (Thickness & shade) is cut into
Activities 12 required size, level and include line and right angle.

13 The cutting of sink/under counter wash basins area at slab in required size from the GFC drawing.

Install the horizontal Indian stone support slab and spread lean mortar mix of proportion 1:4 with
14 minimum 20mm bearing or as explained above/drawings.

The granite slab to be laid on levelled surface of lean mortar (1:4) and cement slurry (3:5Kg/m2) on
15 proper level as per drawing and confirm level through inspection of FFL as per GFC drawings and
RL+800mm.
16 Then adjust the position of Granite slab by using the rubber hammer as required.
The facia slab shall be placed at the side of the Granite counter slab using approved adhesive/metal
17 paste(araldite or approved equivalent) with coin/washer and groove mechanism at 1m center to center
& provide supports floor until dry enough to hold on itself.

18 Facia for the wash basin should not go above the wash basin counter granite top level.

Fix the end partition vertical granite slab using approved adhesive (araldite or approved equivalent)
19 majorly for the kitchen platform works.
Check the top level of counter top using spirit level. Slope can be provided towards sink but it's not a
20 mandatory requirement, however there should not be any reverse slope.

Slot for gas pipe to be made on adjacent wall surface at a height of approximately 25mm from the
21 granite top using flexible hoses prior to kitchen platform works.

22 Clean the counter top using only granite & Quartz cleaner as per manufacturer specification.
1 Sink is fixed at proper level with no leakage below it (By Other Vendor).
Post Completion 2 Polishing if required for joints shall bge done for the granite stones using hand polishing machines.
Activities
3 Tiling work above counter to be after all the granite activities completed in kitchen counter.
Implementations of Health & safety mechanisms and checks shall be done as per contract agreement
1 and the approved safety manual. The safety officer shall carryout the necessary routine inspections.

Safety Lighting:- Safety lights will be used in case of power failure ensuring good illumination for the
2 personnel.

Control of Safety & 3 Task Lighting:- Adequate lighting will be provided ensuring the good illumination of the working area.
Health Hazards Task lighting will be connected to the nearest site distribution board which is RCCB protected.

Emergency Arrangements:- Site general safery procedure will be followed. In case of Emergency the
4 safety officer will stop the work. He will put in to action the emergency arrangements as described in
safety manual.
Risk controls:- Risk assessment and their controls are carried out for the following activity/hazards and
5 enclosed with this method statement.
METHOD STATEMENT FOR WOODEN PARTITION WORK FOR CREST-21 (GGL/GEM/SSB)
BOQ ITEM NO:- 07. Wooden Partition

Providing and fixing in position full height partition having overall thickness of approx. made out of vertical
and horizontal frame work of 2” x 2” Marandi Wood member (Ist class) at max distance of 2’-0” approx c /c
BOQ ITEM both ways and including fixing of 12 mm thick commercial ply on both side and 1mm thick decorative
laminate with grooves on both sides over ply as per drawing and design. Framework to be secured to wall
DESCRIPTION surface/column surface closely structural support using wood screw with wooden/pvc rawel plug as per
details. Horizontal frame members at floor level/ skirting level and false ceiling & at intermediate level as per
details/site requirement shall be provided as per manufacturers specifications/ details.

At all locations where services are penetrating the partition above false ceiling to have additional frame
work around the duct/cable tray/pipe and the gaps between the frame work and service to be filled with
Glass wool with silicon sealant as directed.

Contractor to make provision for all electrical/networking boxes and to provide 30mm dia cut-outs as
required. Electrical/Network boxes /other services to be provided at desired height and location as
indicated in the drawing or as instructed at site.
Contractor to ensure that the partition work is not anchored to the PT line and to be supported with
horizontal members wherever applicable.
1 This method statement describes the materials and procedure for the wooden partition.
PURPOSE/SCOPE If there is conflict between provisions of this documents and applicable technical specifications, the letter
2 shall prevail.
Material to be 1 Wooden Batten, Wooden Ply, Laminate, Screw, Hilti Fastener.
Used

1 Check and Verify layout marking and floor levels & ensure the dimension + diagonal on the said area/room.

Pre-Execution 2 Clean sub base before taking up the laying of screed.


Activities 3 Check Material grades as per the specifications.
4 Check the conduits and junction boxes laid as per the requirement.
5 IPS Flooring is to be done before Partition work.
Machine & Tools Plumb bob, Straight edge, Right angle, Bubble level, String (Line Dori), Tile cutting machine, Spades, Fevicol,
Required 1 Hammer, Drill Machine, Hammer Machine.

Workers Required 1 Skilled Carpenters & helpers required.

1 Ensure that the screeding being done unifromly.


2 Ensure the surface is clean and bumps free.
3 Let the leveling to be set for further work.
4 Start placing the Wooden batten properly as per following manner.
5 First to fix (50x50)mm vertical section toward gate site adjacent to wall and check verticality.
To fix second (50x50)mm vertical section toward opposite side to wall and check line & level of both the
6 vertical section.
7 Now fix first horizontal section of (50x50)mm in full length adjacent to roof.
8 To fix second horizontal section of (50x50)mm adjacent to slab.

9 Now to fix third (50x50)mm vertical section toward gate opening site at distance mentioned as per drawing.

10 At last, to fix four (50x50)mm vertical section at equal distance.


Now fix second horizontal section of (50x50)mm 100mm above the top of slab and rest of 03 section at
11 equal distance between top and bottom section (except gate clearance).
During Execution
Activities 01 horizontal section of (50x50)mm between 2nd and 3rd vertical section from door side at 1050 mm at FFL
12 to fix switch box.
Both the vertical section adjacent to wall fix with approved fastener as per drawing e.g. At gate site use (05)
13 nos. of 10x95mm Hilti fastener & other side use (05) nos. 10x95mm Hilti fastener.
Top horizontal section fix with 06 nos. of 10x95mm Hilti fastener & Bottom horizontal section fix with 04
14 nos. of 10x95mm Hilti fastener.
15 Rest of all the horizontal section fix with clit & screw.
Distance between vertical and horizontal section can varied villa to villa so calculate these distances prior to
16 start the section fixing.
17 Now start the fixing of approved ply properly.
18 Additional support to be provide near electrical point & near cutting of batten sections.
19 Fixing of both side 12mm approved commercial plywood and joints to be staggered.

20 Pasting of 1mm thick decorative laminate with grooves on both side over ply as per drawing & design.

Post Completion 1 Check the levels of the finished floor before the setting of the screed.
Activities 2 Ensure that the level of the junction boxes in line with the finished floor level.

METHOD STATEMENT OF FLUSH DOOR SHUTTER FIXING FOR CREST-21 (GGL/GEM/SSB)
BOQ ITEM NO:- 1. FLUSH DOOR SHUTTER

All Charges for fixing complete and operational phenol bonded flush door shutters of approved quality and make
BOQ ITEM non decorative type core of block board construction with internal frame of 1st class hard wood and well matched
DESCRIPTION 3mm commercial ply veneering with vertical grains or cross bands including providing and fixing 4 nos. 125mm long
and 3.5mm thick heavy duty two ball bearing SS hinges grade to be used SS-304, 6 mm thick teak wood lipping all
around complete including polish/piant as per specification and approved sample. ( Door shutters will be free issue
by Developer , Unlaoding ,Handling & Stoaking/Store will in scope of Contractor )- Rate to include Hinges -
hafle,godrej,doorset or equivalent.

1.1 38 mm thick as required with 32mm flush door & 3 mm thick decorative veneer with grooves on outside and plain
veneer on inside surface including melamine polishing as per drawing and design - For main door.
1.2 34 mm thick as required with with 32mm flush door & 1mm thick decorative laminate both side with grooves on
both sides as per drawing and design - For all internal doors.

Crest-21 Villas as per finishing schedule & BOQ item.
PURPOSE/SCOPE

Material to be Lipping Patti, Hinges, Tower bolt, Handle with mortice lock, Nails, Cylindrical lock with knob, Magnetic door closer,

Used Safety chain etc.
1 Store Door shutter in clean dry ventilated area. Stack doors flat & off floors supported to prevent warping. No other
materials to be place on top of stacked doors.
2 All doors should be packed with plastic, cardboard protection to edges.
3 Store flat over level surface above floor on wood blocks.
Pre-Execution 4
Activities Chek the tagged each doors & locate as per the approved shop drawing & door schedule.
5 Check the door shutters tagged with sticker & door sizes.
6 Ensure that the Primer & Pre-final coat of painting on walls to be done.
7 Ensure that the Grinding & Polishing of floors to be completed.
8 Ensure that all wet works should be completed (Like Tile work, Stone work, Plaster work) Etc.
Machine & Tools 1 Measuring tape, Pencil, Hard point hand saw, Right angle, chisel, Mallet hammer, Drill, Screwdriver, Block plane Etc.
Required

Workers Required 1 Skilled Carpenters & helpers required.

1 Verify opening dimension & angles & levels from finish floor line refrence to ensure that frames fit the openings.

2 Lipping patti shall be provided on shutter. It shall be of approved wood and in one piece. Joint shall be provided
only at corners.
Fix the door in frame with 04 nos. of hinges with spacing 150mm from top, 2nd hinge is 150 mm from 1st hinge,
4th hinge is also 150mm from bottom end and 3rd hinges is placed between the centre of 2nd & 4th hinges.

4 Screws in hinges shall be driven with the help of screw driver rather than that of hammer.
During Execution
Activities
5 Door shutter shall be fixed in such a way, uniform gap of 3mm, is maintained between door shutter & door frame
on top as well as sides. Also 5mm gap shall be maintained between bottom of shutter and finished floor level.
6 Primer & one coat of specified paint as specified architect shall be applied on all sides of shutter including lipping
patti after fixing every fitting on shutter.
7 Care shall be taken to see it, that automatic door closer, if fixed to the door shall not touch the wall, during
operation.
8 Architraves will be fixed by nail and to ber covered by wood putty. All surrounding gaps will be filled with approved
silicon or suitable material.

1 All the door accessories like Tower bolts, Mortice lock, Hinges, Safety chain, Magnetic door catcher & closer should
Post Completion be fixed as per drawing at specified positions.
Activities 2 Completed flush door shutter shall operately freely and smoothly without rattle or bound condition.
3 Clean stains and traces of cleaning fluid.

1 Implementations of Health & safety mechanisms and checks shall be done as per contract agreement and the
approved safety manual. The safety officer shall carryout the necessary routine inspections.
