banking, internet banking and mobile banking to our patrons without compromising the
values of traditional banking. With a success history of over 82 years in total banking,
we have a national presence through the sincere efforts of a dedicated team of 5600
personnel in our 618 branches, 463 ATM’s and 3 extension counters spread over 26
States / Union Territories. On addition of 22 new branches by March 2011, our branch
network will reach 640. We plan to reach 750 Branches with equal number of ATM’s by
31.03.2013. By then, the staff strength will go up to 7500 with net addition of about 1900
persons in the next two years.

To instill young blood into the organization and to facilitate our business expansion, we
are on the look out for young and energetic students of final year graduate/post graduate
students of your institution. The details of selection programme at specified central
locations will be informed to you on hearing from your end.

The Probationary Clerks will be trained on-the-job as well as in our Staff Training
College. Needless to mention, they will have to work at any branch/office of the Bank in
the Delhi Region and contribute with their might to the Organizational development,
which will be rewarded by fast track career advancement, based on performance and
future potential. Once promoted to the officer cadre they will have to work at any of the
Bank’s offices as per the discretion of the Bank.

A candidate on joining will draw the following emoluments in the time scale of pay

` 7200 – 400/3 – 8400 – 500/3 – 9900 – 600/4 – 12300 – 700/7 – 17200 – 1300/1 –
18500 – 800/1 – 19300.

At present, the financial package at current levels includes a salary of over ` 14,000/- in
metro cities during probation.

Basic Pay : Rs.8000/-

DA (quarterly varying) : 49.95% of Basic Pay during February’11
HRA : As applicable rate (Mini.7.0 %)

(Max. 10 %)
Transport Allowance : Rs.800/-
Special Allowance
(Computer Operator – B) : Rs. 500/- + D A.

On joining itself they will be governed by the “Defined Contributory Pension Scheme”,
with amendments there on from time to time. The said Pension Scheme will be as per the
provisions of the New Pension System under Pension Fund Regulatory and Development
Authority.10% of Pay + D.A will be deducted monthly from the salary towards the
Pension Fund. An equal amount will be contributed by the bank.

We request you to forward us the details of interested candidates (as per the format
enclosed) of the final year/semester graduate/ post graduate students who are aged not
more than 22 years as on 31.03.2011(2 years relaxation for PG students). Please report
the date by which the course and exams will be over. You will also please let us know the
particulars of previous semesters/years and the status of announcement of the results of
the exams of the same.

Following are the eligibility criteria we seek for the candidates:

2) They should have consistent good academic record right from

matriculation level.

3) Minimum eligibility criteria is as follows:

For final year Graduate students:

1) 51% in SSLC

2) Pass in 1st chance in 1st and 2nd year of degree - 63%.

3) Pass in final exams in 1st attempt – overall percentage - 64%

For final year Post-Graduate students:

1) SSLC : Minimum 60%
2) Degree : 55% or above in science stream, 50% or above in
other streams.
3) PG : 1st year 50% and above in 1st chance and shall
score similar % for final exam in first attempt.

Age : 22 years as on 31.03.2011.Relaxation of 2 years

for PG students.

Mode of selection : Group Discussion and interview

Probation : 6 months

The candidates should have permanent residence at any of the following states/union
territories for more than 5 years:

Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, H.P. and J&K.

4) Passed all the previous year/semester exams with aggregate 55% for Science stream
and 50% for Arts/Professional/PG Degree. (Please note that candidates are required to
complete the remaining year/semester with the above % of marks). In case it is later
found that the above stipulation is not met with, the selection/appointment of the
candidate will automatically stand cancelled without any notice)

5) In respect of the candidates who qualify in the 1st stage (i.e., if provisionally selected,
after the G.D. & interview) the institute shall keep informed the Bank, the results of
remaining semester/year exams and furnish mark lists as and when the results are out.

Similarly, they shall inform the Bank the completion of course and final results when
published.

You are requested to forward the resumes of the interested candidates as per the attached
format to make a pre-placement appraisal of the candidates at our end.

If provisionally selected, the candidates should give their acceptance in writing and the
selected candidates should not be short-listed for further placements. Also such
candidates shall join the Bank as and when the provisional appointment order is given. If
these stipulations are violated, please be informed that your institution will be excluded in
our future placement programmes.

The candidates will have to be specifically informed that the selection is only provisional
and they are entitled to get offer for appointment only if they complete the course
successfully in time as per schedule of the course and completion of all the semester
exams in the first chance with the cut-off marks as per our norms above. In case the
candidate fails or scores marks below the stipulated level, the provisional selection will
stand nullified.

We propose to take up the recruitment programme shortly and expect to appoint the
selected candidates in the Bank’s service after the final year/semester exams are
successfully completed and course completion certificate from the institutions/college are
submitted.

On joining the service of the bank they have to execute an agreement to the effect that
they will serve the Bank for a continuous period of 3 years from the date of joining. They
have option to leave the organization before the expiry of the bond period on giving 3
months notice (payment of 3 months notice period salary is to be made to the Bank if
notice period is to be waived) provided they pay Rs.35,000/- towards compensation.

OPPORTUNITIES AS PRO.CLERKS – DELHI REGION

Applications are invited for the post of Pro.Clerks from final year
graduates and post graduates who will pass out in the year ending
31.03.2011.

Eligibility norms and other details

(a) Shall be final year students (Graduation / Post Graduation) who will pass out (In the
year ended 31.03.2011).

(b) Educational Qualification

For final year Graduate students:
1) 60% in SSLC

(d) Emoluments : Scale of Pay Rs. 7200 – 400/3 – 8400 – 500/3 – 9900 – 600/4 –
12300 – 700/7 – 17200 – 1300/1 – 18500 – 800/1 - 19300 and will be eligible for other
allowances applicable to Pro.Clerks.

(e) Mode of selection : 1st Stage: A preliminary scrutiny of the applications will be
done for short-listing the candidates at the sole discretion of
the bank

2nd Stage: The selection from the short listed candidates will
be done on the basis of Group Discussions and interviews.

(f) Neatly typewritten application certified by Head of the Dept. /Placement Co-ordinator
(as per format attached) with Passport-size photograph affixed thereon should be
