First Part.
Give and ask for information on habits of daily use.
Write personal sentences from the following expressions:

1.- There are a number of points, of which I must choose one


2.- That’s all I have to say about, because I don't want to interfere.
3.- So, in this section, we’ve looked at what refers to decision making.
4.- Well, I think I’ve said enough about myself. Tell me about you.

Second Part.
In many cases, English sayings share meaning with Spanish, but the way of formulating
it is very different. Look at these examples.
Implement sentences where you demonstrate the use of these expressions. but first look
and check and then use these expressions in everyday sentences.

1.- Curiosity killed the cat.


My little brother stuck his fingers in an outlet even though I told him it was dangerous.
2.- Don’t count your chickens before the eggs hatch.
My cousin started selling his merchandise yesterday and today he decided to buy more
without having sold at least half.
3.- Out of sight, out of mind.
The Amazon is being extinct but as the media do not communicate it, nobody does
anything
4.- To kill two birds with one stone.
I had to deliver an assignment to the teacher and ask him some questions, and I just found
him in the hall
5.- To hear something through the grapevine

6.- Can’t judge a book by its cover.


I didn't imagine you knew so much about it, I thought you were just a braggart
Answer using expressions from everyday life. Remember that both regular and irregular
verbs have well-defined rules including the verb to be. On the other hand, although modal
verbs in English do not share the same properties as the rest of the verbs, they are important
when it comes to making sentences more accurate and with more information, and they also
help to evaluate the actions that are named in them., in order to know if they are possible or
not, or if there is any prohibition in this regard.
Exercises.
Read each of the sentences given. locate the way in which they were written and make a
linguistic-grammatical transformation of them ... case... if the interrogative is in the
affirmative ... if this negative, in the affirmative or any form that can be used with them
within the speech context.
1.- You and your sister may have another cookie.
May me and my sister have another cookie?
2.- You can go to the party.
Can I go to the party?
3.- Could I ask you something?
You can ask me something.
4.- Can you be quiet?
I can be quiet.
5.- May I have a median soda?
You may have median soda.
6.- When I was young, I could run very fast.
Could you run very fast when you were young?
7.- Paula can speak four languages.
Can Paula speak four languages?
8.- It is almost dinner time. They should arrive soon.

9.- They tried, but they couldn't see the movie.

Third Part
Well, we know in a concrete way what a pronoun is ... now we are going to know the
reflexives.
We use reflexive pronoun with by, we mean, alone or without help.
He went for a walk in the park alone.
He went for a walk in the park by himself
1.- They made the long trip through the woods alone.
They made the long trip through the woods themselves
2.- I don’t like to go to the movies alone.
I don’t like to go to the movies myself
3.- Helen, however, prefers to go to the movies alone.
Helen, however, prefers to go to the movies herself
4.- Carlos prefers to speak English in the cinema alone.
Carlos prefers to speak English in the cinema himself
5.- Carlos prefers to speak German in the street without help.
