STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in
every difficulty”. This quote by Sir Winston Churchill has been my Motto ever since my high
school days. I learned that in the midst of discouraging people, one must remain hopeful and
positive. I was born and raised in Kerala- a beautiful state in the southern part of India. I have
loving and supportive parents who are the reason for who I am today

I did my undergraduate in B.com Professional Accounting at Dr.G.R. Damodaran College of

Science, and during this time, I had the privilege of acquiring substantial knowledge in the
basic areas of accounting, tax, finance, performance management, finance management, and
audit and assurance. My thesis work for the completion of my course had me do research on
“People's perception towards Health Insurance” and through this, I got a lot of exposure to
the broad fields of health insurance, Insurance companies, insurance schemes, and the general
play of interest rates.

As my interest grew further in the subjects I had, I found that my true passion lies in
Economics. This stems from a variety of factors. I have always had a natural talent for
numbers and analysis, and the immense background behind what seems like one small
transaction has always intrigued me. Earning a master’s degree in Transition Management
would ideally complement my undergraduate degree in Commerce.

I believe that earning this degree in International Business Economics would guide the way
to be a part of the Economic Industry. Initially, I would like to work in small start-ups as it
helps in getting exposed to various areas of the industry and seeing a lot of tasks, learning
opportunities, and taking up bigger responsibilities that’ll help me grow later in my career.
My ultimate goal, in the long run, is to start a non-profit organization that focuses on the
development of the community and serve the society

I strongly believe that leaving India and getting an education in a foreign country will aid in
me becoming successful in life, and meeting people who have similar goals and aspirations
would lead to me reaching greater heights. I would cherish the experiences I collect and
would focus on becoming a better professional as well as a better individual. I feel that
Postgraduate study at JLU Gießen is the best type of further education at this juncture
because of the flexibility incorporated in its learning system, its infrastructure and its intense
interaction with the industry, and exposure to the latest technology would help me in
acquiring practical knowledge. Added to that, with an extremely distinguished faculty who
are replete with academic activity and excellent facilities for research in my field of interest, I
have no doubt that I would get the resources and knowledge I need.

The pursuit of knowledge has always been a cherished obsession and a dominating influence
for me. As an individual, I’m a person who loves to travel around, meet new people, accept
new challenges, and break every barrier. Thus, I will be elated if an opportunity is given to
me, as my most important years of learning stretch right ahead.

German universities offer excellent teaching and research, ranking among the best in the
world and their degrees are globally recognized. The range of courses offered at German
universities is immense and gives you the opportunity to choose whatever area of study you
want to focus on. A huge array of international programs and interdisciplinary degree
programs allows us to specialize.

By choosing Masters in Transition Management from JLU Gießen, I came to know that this
program is intended to arrange its students for the challenges that associate degree more and
more globalizing the economy imposes on finance, Agriculture, and Food management. It
endows its participants with the economic ability and analytical skills for an eminent career
in administration, government, national and international associations, and world business to
realize this goal the Transition Management program does not solely offer profound coaching
in theory and economic science techniques however conjointly permit its students to
severally analyze queries of sensible and business connection through empirical observation.
I believe that this master's program suits me better as I have already completed modules
related to Economics, Law, Finance, Accounting, and management during my undergraduate
degree. Also, I have experience as a Logistics coordinator, where I have also come into
exposure to International laws and Economic laws. This aids me to apply for a Masters in
Transition Management course at your university.
