What Is Expository Writing?
Expository writing is used to provide the reader with explanations, steps in the process, or
reason to return the essay. It is defined by its logical index, essay and conversion. It is written
with the assumption that, which the reader has no prior knowledge of the subject being
discussed. Expository writing can be used as a tool to show the reader something or how it
works. For this reason, it is important that it be extremely clear so that the reader understands
the topic when finished.
2. What are the elements or characteristics of a good expository writing piece?
The five elements of expository writing, organization, topic sentence, thesis statement, and
subtopics, transitions, evidence and examples, and conclusion. The introduction to the
interpretation should include the main ideas and essence of the essay. The introduction should
also include three main reasons to support this basic idea. When you write an essay, it should
follow a logical order. Novel: The beginning of the book, the middle of the book, the end of the
book. 2/3/1: 2nd best idea, 3rd best idea, best idea. Directions: 1 step, 2 steps, 3 steps
3. What topic would you like to write for an expository writing as a genre? Why?
The topic that I would write for an expository writing as a genre is “The difference between
face-to-face class and online class”. Because we know that most of the student want to have a
face-to-face class after a long time that we used to be at home, it’s because of pandemic we
have no choice, online class is so hard than having a face-to-face class. But it’s for the safety
that’s why we should follow even if It’s so hard to adjust in our new work place.
