How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning
and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 400 words)

Product 1

For media representation I will be aiming to represent women in a strong, powerful, and positive light.

This could be slightly different from how women are usually represented in news which is usually in a
highly patriarchal and stereotypical way. Usually, showing women as objects or something to be looked

at. Also, women are shown as mothers which isn't a negative representation however it can miss out that
women are also other things other than a mother. I can look at Van Zoonen’s theory about

powerful or strong action. I will use bright lighting to make sure she is fully seen and will pay particular

aiming for. Such as using low angles when photographing women to show them as big and powerful. I

To include different representations, in my second edition I will look at men and anti-stereotypes stories

colour and type of language used, however i will make the design easier to navigate and less busy/

seen and available too access. For my visual-audio content I will be recording an interview or tutorial
