THE PROCESS OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT


Introduction:

This module will help student grasps on the process of curriculum development,
focusing on how to systematically organize what will be taught, who will be taught,
and how it will be taught, Students will understand how each component affects
and interacts with other components. For example, what will be affected by who is
being taught (e.g. their stage of development in age maturity and education].

At the end of this module, students are expected to:

1. Discuss the process of curriculum development


2. Analyze each part of the process by citing situation or examples.

Discussion:

In a nutshell the process of curriculum development include, needs analysis as


one of the concerns of teachers. Fundamental objective is to develop an accurate
understanding of the students who will be served by the curriculum. Have an understanding of
of child development and administer the ECCD checklist. Conduct parents intervenes. Home
visits to prepare the students.

The following are the steps of the process of curriculum development
