Chemical requests for ADU:
Demulsifier
Type: Emulsion breaking chemicals (safe and easily handled oil soluble liquid) that should
be able to provide the following benefits with minimum costs.
- To resolves emulsion and improves desalter efficiency
- Helps to remove solids from oil and provide oil-free effluent water
- Do not contain heavy metal or organic halides and should not have harmful effects on
refinery catalysts.

Operating conditions and performance requirements or desalter are given below

PROCES WATER PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS For vessel

effective corrosion inhibition (protective film) over a wide pH range during
occasional pH swings.
For requested corrosion inhibitors care should be taken about:
- Do not contain heavy metal, organic halides or halogens and should not have harmful
effects on refinery catalysts (should have low-level nitrogen content).
- Should have low tendency to emulsifying overhead products at low pH conditions and
provides exceptionally high WSIM rating in products

Note: The Corrosion inhibitor for ADU shall also be applied at the following units:

- Shall prevents (retards) sludge buildup (polymer formation) and maintains optimum heat

catalysts

Note: Corrosion inhibitor is the same as for the FCC Unit and also be applied at the FCC
Sour Water Stripper Unit.

5. Chemical request for antioxidant

Antioxidant

Type: hindered phenolyc oxidation inhibitor.


Requested antioxidant should prevent autooxiative gum formation in rich olefin stocks.
- Jet fuel
- Light and heavy FCC gasoline
- Visbreaking gasoline
