ARTIFACT
“SANTOS”

➢ The "santos“ or statues of saints are one of the artifacts that represent Filipinos’ rich
culture and heritage.
➢ A santo is a piece of one of various religious art forms found all over the world consisting
of wooden or ivory statues that depict various saints, angels, or Marian titles, or one of
the personages of the Holy Trinity.
ARTIFACT

➢ Incorrupt heart of Saint Padre Pio.


➢ Saint Padre Pio was a man of mystery. Believed to be able to cure serious
illnesses during his time. He has a stigmata just like Jesus Christ which is the
wound at his hands. In 2008, the Vatican decided to excavate his body, which
was barely decomposed, despite claims that it had been tampered with.
RELICS OF ST. PIO HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES

➢ A relic of a “CLOTH WITH THE BLOOD” of St. Padre Pio.

➢ Richard Saing, one of the head of the Padre Pio Contemplative Community and
interviewed by KMJS for a documentary video, has a first-class relic which is a few hair
strands and a third-class relic which is a stampita from Padre Pio. He once used the
stampita, covered in cloth, and wiped it to his wife who is stroked and after a while his
wife magically cured.
