2. Summarize the webinar in a maximum of 10 sentences only.

History is written by the foreigners which they wrote that Filipinos were called
as backward in civilization. Our colonizers wrote our history for many years
and because of that we have a different view of ourselves. One of the
buildings is called National Museum of Anthropology- where we can find the
representation of our ancestors.
There are theories about how the foreigners arrived here in our country which
is the Philippines. So, if we see our country having many languages and
cultures diversified, we must remember that all of this came from our
ancestors which are the Austronesians. It is easy for them to travel by the
sea that’s why in the navigation, they use stars and heavens, even before the
constellations were introduced by the colonizers. Because of this elaborate
maritime culture, they were able to build connections. They also have
organized governments or alliances that were able to build the Sandugo or
blood compact by the Datus. They also have the culture to praise saints for
the good health and giving thanks for the blessings that they received. Our
ancestors also believed that the person has two
parts- panloob and panlabas which they so much
value that brotherhood/sisterhood, matuwid na kaluluwa or kapatiran which
makes people unite and suppose to love each other.

3. Provide your short critique or reflection in 5 sentences only.

Coming back to the basic understandings of the concept of our culture, I can
conclude that it covers diverse aspects. In the first place, the idea that culture
is valued through our ancestors and we should be knowledgeable enough to
understand on how we get or have these cultures beforehand. Secondly, it is
important to recognize the multiple referents of the concept of culture,
including objects, knowledge and abilities. All of the meanings of culture
were maintained but they were extended to include the entirety of human
production and all social behavior. That’s why I am very honored and proud to
our ancestors who brought us these cultures to us.
