Multiplying Decimals
Using Long Multiplication

To multiply decimals, follow the steps below:


 Ignore the decimal point and multiply the numbers as normal.
 After multiplying, put the decimal point in the answer, it will have as
many decimal places as the two original numbers combined.
Count the total number of figures after the decimal point in both numbers.
In the answer, count this total number of figures from the right and insert the
decimal point.

Example: 1) 102 x 0.22


2) 27.5 x 1.4
3) 324 x 0.324
