Schedule The SAGA Grand Melee ~ Age of Crusades tournament will consist of three games played on Saturday. 8:30am Check-In 9:00-11:30am Game 1 11:30-12.30pm Lunch & Judge's Paint Scoring 12:30-2:30pm Game 2 2:30-3:15pm Favorite Warband Voting 3:15-5:15pm Game 3 5:30pm ~ Awards & Thank you! Rules and Permitted Factions The current SAGA rulebook, the Age of Magic (AoM) book and the latest FAQ will be in play. Any of the six Factions in the AoM book are allowed. Legendary units and Legendary warbands are not allowed this year. Warbands consist of 8 points for this event. When creat- ing your warband roster, indicate your faction and decide how many points to allocate to a Lieutenant, Sorcerors,, Monsters, Creatures, Hearthguards, Warriors, Levies, and War Machines. You will use that same allocation in all of your games, The roster must indicate Sorcerer spells per the AoM rules. You will determine unit size and equipment (including Creature, Monster, and War Machine types) during deployment in each game. Conduct SAGA THORSDAY is a casual event promoting camarade- rie, meeting new hobbyists and fun! While there is a competitive aspect, winning never takes priority over good sportsmanship. Arguments and poor conduct are not tolerated. AdeptiCon reserves the right to remove players from the event or AdeptiCon. Judges’ rulings are final, What to bring What to Bring + Battle of Heroes cards. These are available on the Studio Tomahawk website (http://www.studio-tom hawk.com/en/saga/) or the Rodge Rules site (https://rodgerules.com/resources/) + Rulebook, Book of Battles, AM book and all other items needed to play including SAGA dice, battle boards, measuring devices and a pen or pencil + Awarband that complies with AdeptiCon Model Policy - all models must be WYSIWYG and fully painted, Note that all equipment options including Creature, Monster, and War Machine types require distinct models. You may not use the same model to represent a Behemoth in one game and a Titan in another. If you want to have all options available,you will need to have models for every option. + Optional: Your faction specific Sacred Ground may be used if you bring it. It is not required, although it does count for Appearance points (see below) + Optional: Three themed objective markers (not just tokens). These are not required, although they do count for Appearance points (see below). + If illegal warbands or rules violations are found, the models in violation will be removed from subsequent play. Tournament points may be deducted and award cligibility forfeited. + Warband roster to share with opponents upon request, NOTE: Email a copy of your roster to Rodge ([email protected]) by March Ist. Pairings Players are randomly paired in the first round. Based ‘on results, Swiss pairings determine matchups in later rounds. Players meet each other only once regardless of rankings. A scoring shect is provided for players to complete at the end of each game. Appearance Appearance will be scored according to (point foreach yes) + Does the army have a matching display board o caring tray? is checklist + Is there a placard with the player's name on + Is there a fully painted Sacred Ground terrain feature? + Are there three themed objective markers? + Does the warband have a consistent basing scheme? + Does the warband have a consistent paint scheme? + Does the painting level exceed the three color minimum standard? + Are models noticeably, and consistently, highlighted and shaded? + Did this warband receive two or more Favorite Warband votes? + Did this warband receive the most Favorite Warban votes? Sportsmanship Saga folks are such good sports that we can safely start everyone off with 7 Sportsmanship points, + 3 additional points are available for Favorite Opponent votes (1 for each vote) A player may lose a point each time they fail to follow the Rodge's rules or instructions as outlined above or during the event. Examples of this include: + Not submitting your warband roster on time or at all + Submitting an illegal warband roster + Submitting an illegible or incorrect scoring sheet after the round + Not arriving to a game on time + Not submitting a Favorite Warband or Favorite Opponent vote Awards + Best Overall - Most Points (Tiebreaker: Strength of Schedule) + Best General - Most Battle Points (Tiebreaker: Strength of Schedule) + Best Appearance ~ Most Appearance Points (Tiebreaker: Judges vote) + Best Sportsman - Most Sportsmanship Points (Tiebreaker: Battle points)
