MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST GUIDELINES

Senior High School Department

General Overview:
This is a music video contest that will showcase the talents and skills of students not only in the
IT fields but in other areas as well.
Make us laugh, cry or even angry. The whole purpose of this contest is about having fun and
entertainment while showcasing the skills, talents of what creativity and inspiration can offer us.
Rules & Mechanics:
1. Only Senior High School students taking 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the
World are allowed to participate and appear on the video.
2. Subject Teachers will provide the lyrics of the song.
3. The class will be divided into five groups for the elimination round.
4. Each group will draw their song piece and interpret the meaning of the lyrics.
5. The interpretation shall showcase a storyline.
6. Location for shooting the video is limited to OMNHS Campus only.
7. The time duration will be according to the length of the song.
8. All entries will be collected by the subject teacher and will be viewed on schedule.
9. The five entries from each class will be viewed and judged by the class. The first place will
represent the class during the final round.
10. The top five which will compete on the final round will be viewed by the three judges on
their convenient time.
11. Results will be announced and awards will be presented at the conclusion of the competition.
The top three presentations will be recognized: The Champion, First Runner-up, and Second
Runner-up based on the ranking of the judges’ average.

o 30% Depiction of Storyline based on the interpretation of the lyrics


o 30% Acting and Performance
o 20% Creative Execution
o 20% Technical Execution
