Resource Center of the Cavite State University-Main Campus conducted a webinar on
mental health and psychological support during covid-19 via Zoom last December 09,
2020, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In partnership with the Center Disaster for
Preparedness (CDP). The students, parents, and faculty members of the College of
Criminal Justice attended the webinar Kamustahan sa Covid-19. The webinar on
mental health and psycho-social support during Covid-19 is called Kamustahan sa
Covid-19. Welcome remarks were given by Ms. Glaiza Mae Federico, CCJ Faculty
Member and Dr. Susan G. Tan Welcome the Resource Speakers, Students, and
Parents. The Resource speaker for the webinar Kamustahan sa Covid-19 was the
Center for Disaster Preparedness. The first speaker was Ms. Mayfourth D. Luneta,
Deputy Executive Director, CDP Delivered tips on how to distress and how to
strengthens mental health. Ms. Marj takeover to the application Mentimeter and asked
questions to the students "Ano ang iyong mga alalahanin , isyu o problema na
nararanasan ngayong pandemya?" Almost 135 students answered the question. After
the Open forum, Ms. Mayfourth D. Luneta discussed how to decrease depression.
Introduction about self-care delivered by Ns. Jocelyn T. Samson, Program Associate,
CDP Also discussed stress, The effects of stress on your body, mental health, and
How do we cope when stress. CCJ Faculty members, students, and parents had
interactions about coping with stress, resilient attributes, self-care, and the types of
self-care. After the question and answer Ms. Jelyne Ferneloza Gealone, Program
Associate, CDP continued discussing more self-care activity titled "Paghinga, Pahinga"
and conducted Breathing exercise and other self-care activities. Ms. Leizl Love B.
Jimeno, Administrative Officer, CDP discussed activities in Paghinga and tells about
the meaning of S.C.O.P.E, Demonstrate activities, stretching exercise, give ideas
about kids activities that can be done in our homes e.g (Puppet art and Nosi Rembo)
Ms. Jelyne Geolone and Ms. Leizl Love Jimeno tell us a story with reenactment and
students and faculty members followed the paper activity from Ms. Leizl Love Jimeno.
Ms. Glaiza Mae Federico Summarize the whole program, and Ms. Mayfourth D. Luneta
delivered the problems about stress and the topics that discussed by the other
speakers and also discussed the coping mechanism, the story of the rubberband, and
the Three F's (Faith, Family and Friends) and shared some of her real-life experiences.
Ms. Raecel A. Estebat, GAD Resource Center gives thanks to CDP, Students and
parents, and all faculty members of the College of Criminal Justice. The Dean of the
College of Criminal Justice Dr. Famela Iza Cabe- Matic give thanks to all faculty
members, student and prayed for everyone because of Covid-19, and encourage
everyone to share the knowledge that they known from the webinar. To formally end
the event. Ms. Glaiza Mae Federico, Faculty member, CCH Gave the closing.
