“DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED IN MATHEMATICS ALGEBRA AND COPING
MECHANISM OF GRADE 7 STUDENTS OF CABUGAO INTEGRATED SCHOOL”

JUSTIFICATION:

Research indicated the importance of Mathematics Algebra in Grade 7 students of


Cabugao, Integrated, School. One of the main challenges face by the student is having lack of
knowledge in Math Algebra in Solving Basic Equations. The main purpose of this study is to
overcome difficulties in learning Math Algebra in better understanding complicated concepts.

Specific Problem:

This study sought to answer the following question: (1) What are the common
issues that cause student’s difficulties in Math Algebra? (2) What are the concepts and
principle of Math Algebra that could be develop to enhance solving complex and difficult
problem? (3) What are the techniques that could be use in Solving Basic Equations?

Methodology:

The researcher will conduct a face to face interview to the Grade 7 students in
Brgy. Cabugao, Bato, Catanduanes. The focus is to ask them the difficulties
encountered and coping mechanism in Math Algebra.
