HI-SCAN PRO END OF LIFE-CYCLE SUPPORT
This TSB is related to the end of life-cycle support for the Hi-Scan Pro Diagnostic Scan
Tool. The Hi-Scan Pro was released to Kia Retailers during the summer of 2000. Up to
this point, the Hi-Scan Pro hardwarelsoftware was supported using a combination of Kia
Motors and vendor resources.

The Global Diagnostic System (GDS) is in its second year of field service. The GDS sur-
passes the Hi-Scan Pro in all aspects of diagnostic functionality; the GDS is fully scalable
to meet Kia diagnostic requirements for the next several model years.

Kia is discontinuing further developmental efforts for the Hi-Scan Pro by the end of 2007.
No new software updates will be released.
