Pro Presets and Pro Presets 2 Installation

***IMPORTANT: THE PRO PRESETS AND PRO PRESETS 2 REQUIRE THE OPTICAL FLARES PLUG-IN - THE
OPTICAL FLARES PLUG-IN NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING THE PRO PRESETS.***

Step One:
 Login to your Video Copilot download account https://www.videocopilot.net/account/

 Once logged-in to your account, click on the “Downloads” tab.

 Find the Pro Presets or Pro Presets 2 product (depending on which Pro Presets pack you
ordered) and click on the download button.

 Download the Pro Presets pack. Once the download is complete, unzip the files to a
location such as your Desktop.
Step Two:
 For the Pro Presets pack, find the extracted folder called “Pro Presets”.

 For the Pro Presets 2 pack: Open the “VC_Pro_Presets” folder that you extracted in Step
One. Inside will be the the “Pro Presets 2” folder (screenshot example below).

 Drag the “Pro Presets” or “Pro Presets 2” folder directly into your Lens Flares folder.

 Here is an example path:


C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files\Plug-ins\Optical Flares\Optical
Flares Presets\Lens Flares
***Install into the version of After Effects that you have if not CS6, as shown in example below***

Installation is complete! – Continue below to Step Three for how to open the Pro
Presets using the Optical Flares Plug-in inside of Adobe After Effects.
Step Three:
 Restart After Effects.

 Once inside of After Effects, create a new composition, new solid, and then open the
Optical Flares plug-in (Go to the Effects menu—VideoCopilot—Optical Flares)

 Click on the “Options” button in the Optical Flares control panel to open the Optical
Flares interface (see screenshot below).

 From within the Optical Flares interface you will be able to view and use the Pro Presets
and Pro Presets 2. They are located under the PRESET BROWSER (see screenshot below).
