If I were an inventor…

Instructions: In this section, you learned that necessity is the mother of inventions and
innovations. Inventions are not simply made, but are motivated by various social, political,
cultural, and economic contexts. In this task, you will address these questions: “If you were an
inventor, what would you invent?” In thinking about an invention, make sure to come up with
one that has not been invented yet, but it is possible to be invented in the near future. On the
space below, sketch a draft of your invention then answer the following questions that follow.

1. What is your invention? What does it do?


- My invention is a sunglass with weapon detector, what does it do is it detect or see
through a cloth if a person is carrying a weapon.

2. How is your invention similar to or different from existing tools or technologies in terms
of function?
- It is different from any normal sunglasses because it has lens for weapon detector that
is its functions. Any dangerous weapons.

3. Why is there a need for this invention? How will this invention make the world a better
place to live in?
- Why this invention is needed because it can be used as a protection for yourself to
dangerous people. Especially when there is a very suspicious person following you,
you can already know what kind of dangerous weapon he/she has. It can make the
criminals afraid of bringing weapons in public.
