My Research Notes on Nest Thermostat
1. Nest Thermostat is a smart thermostat developed by Nest Labs and designed by Tony Fadell, Ben
Filson and Fred Bould. This is an electronic, programmable and self-learning Wi-Fi enabled thermostat
that optimizes heating and cooling of homes and businesses to conserve energy. The nest thermostat
has a metal ring and comes in multiple colors. Nest comes with a humidity sensor to hook up to your
humidifier/dehumidifier, it has three temperature sensor and a WI-FI radio too.
2. Programmable smart thermostat that learns your schedule and the temperatures you like and
programs itself to help you save money on electricity bill. Nest continually records and analyses
inhabitant behaviour patterns in real time
