Scope of Devops: 1.devops in The Security Field

1. DevOps should be implemented to ensure security is maintained throughout the development process, from testing environments to production. Applying AI/ML to DevOps pipelines can help automate processes more efficiently. 2. As more businesses operate primarily online, all companies need to automate software deployment and infrastructure provisioning using DevOps approaches to increase productivity. 3. Container technology allows for sandboxing of programs for security and resource control, and opens possibilities for user security, system security, and analytics as the technology progresses.

Scope of DevOps

1.DevOps in the Security Field

The domain of security is unique in that the more you automate, the more likely
you are to automate problems as well. As a result, every automation in this area
must be inherently managed, which opens up a lot of possibilities for the
DevOps mindset.
DevOps should be implemented to ensure the security of the product being
developed in production and even in test environments. This serves as the
DevOps philosophy's governance and code of ethics. DevOps must ensure that
security mechanisms are in place to ensure the application's integrity and
compliance with the company's security requirements.

2. AI/ML in the DevOps Framework

The DevOps methodology, cloud-native approach, and microservices
architecture have transformed the software development life cycle. DevOps
combines testing and production environments, allowing developers to see
issues before they go live.
Applying AI and machine learning to DevOps pipelines can help you perform
builds and automation in a much more efficient and controlled manner. People
are shifting from DevOps to DataOps and AIOps, which focus on using
artificial intelligence and machine learning to learn from logs and monitoring
metrics to control DevOps.
3. Automation for Every Company
Everything in today's world takes place on the internet. Most businesses are
evolving to resemble an IT firm that offers specialised services. Booking.com,
for example, was once a travel firm but is now an IT company that provides
travel services.
Every company's software is the crucial component that drives sales and
revenue. As a result, all modern firms need to automate software deployment
and infrastructure provisioning. It's vital for increasing productivity and
bringing out the best software. As a result, DevOps approaches are now widely
used in all modern businesses.

4. Container Technology
Container technology is progressing at a faster rate than ever before. Containers
can be utilised in a variety of ways to achieve various outcomes. For security
and resource restrictions, containers can be used to sandbox programmes.
Containers per user or per user session are being investigated.
This concept opens up a world of possibilities for user security, system security,
and user analytics. Containers will become more cost-effective to install as
containerization technology progresses.

5. Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Platform as a service (PaaS) is a burgeoning field with numerous DevOps
applications. Gone are the days when developing a whole infrastructure for an
application was a major concern. People nowadays just want to know about the
platform on which their applications can be hosted. In terms of configuration
management, continuous security, and containerization, DevOps has many
applications in offering PaaS solutions.
6. DevOps and Focus on Integration Between Edge Services
The traditional on-premises model is clearly changing. Companies have shifted
to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Database as a Service (DBaaS), and
Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions in recent years. With cloud technologies
gaining traction and containerization technologies becoming more widely
available, DevOps must play an important role in integrating all of these
services that are hosted on different platforms.

7. DevOps in Seamless Security Integration

The majority of security breaches are caused by a vulnerability at the
application layer. Companies are now attempting to implement a mature and
secure software development approach that will assist them in avoiding all of
these threats. Companies are currently shifting to a programmatic approach to
application security, which security into the early stages of the software
development lifecycle.
Companies want a security strategy that goes beyond simply scanning for and
repairing security flaws. DevOps can be extremely useful in this situation.
DevOps can enable seamless security integration with the continuous security
philosophy, allowing development teams to create secure software code faster
than ever before.

8. Job as a Code
The development-to-operations handshake is still a manual and time-consuming
process. In 2019, it is expected that the DevOps philosophy will emphasise
"jobs-as-code" in the software delivery lifecycle. This could be used as coding
automation instrumentation. This approach, combined with the Infrastructure as
a Code methodology and CI/CD pipelines, will assist in reducing the time
required for the development-to-operations handshake.
9. Containers Will Override Configuration Management
Container orchestration platforms are shaking up the DevOps industry in 2019.
Container orchestration techniques have grown to the point where they could
eventually replace configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, and
Puppet.
Kubernetes is the most well-known and commonly used container orchestration
technology today, but there are many more on the way. Container orchestration
solutions, when properly designed, may simplify infrastructure provisioning and
many of the complexity that come with it.
This new Infrastructure as Code method will have to be adopted by the DevOps
community. The industry will also endeavour to standardise software version
frameworks, reducing the need for configuration management tools.
