LABORATORY ACTIVITY

Read the following number and perform the following instructions.

1. Enter excitingcommerce.de and find recent information about emerging EC models and the future
of the field.

Since 2005, Exciting Commerce has been giving information about new markets and future-
oriented business strategies in e-commerce as an independent industry companion. Exciting Commerce
is devoted to e-commerce company innovation. New business models and interesting new e-commerce
enterprises are created by them. Particularly, Exciting Commerce is devoted in creating partnership with
popular online commerce platforms and business such as:

a. Amazon - is a massive Internet-based company that sells books, music, movies, housewares,
electronics, toys, and a variety of other items directly or as an intermediary between other shops and
Amazon.com's millions of customers.
b. Alibaba – The objective of Alibaba Group is to make it simple to do business wherever. We help
companies enhance their marketing, sales, and operational efficiencies by transforming the way they
market, sell, and operate.
c. HelloFresh – is a meal plan subscription service provider. The Company sources,
packages, and delivers meal boxes to subscribers, providing a varied range of
recipes to customers, using pre-measured seasonal ingredients, providing in a
simple and accessible meal solution.
d. JD Logistics – From the digital storefront to warehouses and last-mile delivery, he is in charge of the
entire value chain. This allows for a comprehensive picture of consumer demand as well as tight
control over goods storage and delivery.
e. Ocado – Its goal is to transform the way people buy for groceries on a weekly basis. Ocado was
founded with the goal of making customers' lives easier. It wants you to be able to obtain what you
want, when you want it, and with the least amount of hassle possible.

2.Visit amazon.com and locate recent information in the following areas:

a. Find the five top-selling books on EC.

1. Peril by Bob Woodward ($18.84)
2. Change Sings: A Children’s Anthem by Amanda Gorman ($13.52)
3. Vanderbilt: The Rise and Fall of an American Dynasty by Anderson Cooper ($19.82)
4. It Ends with Us: A Novel by Colleen Hoover ($9.46)
5. Crazy Faith: It’s Only Crazy Until it Happens by Michael Todd ($18.20)

b. Find a review of one of these books.

The image above shows some of the review from the most-top selling book in Amazon as of September 22,
2021, Peril by Bob Woodward. A 512-page book and which weighs almost a kilogram and gained its top spot at
Amazon sales, as well as at US Presidents, United States Executive Government and Public Affairs and
Administrations (Books).

c. Review the personalized services you can get from Amazon.com and describe the benefits you
receive from shopping there.

To improve customer satisfaction, increase profit generation and leave a good branding to the
public, Amazon has created its personalized support to address the specific needs of customers as well as
business owners. Amazon Personalize allows developers to create apps using the same machine learning
(ML) technology that Amazon.com uses to provide real-time tailored suggestions — with no ML knowledge
necessary.
In my own opinion, personalized services from Amazon helps on quick search and better
customer experience. Without having to worry on how to navigate Amazon, it creates distinct homepage
experiences and makes product recommendations based on your users' buying history on their homepage.
Aside from that, it improves marketing communication between customers and products offered and assists
clients in quickly finding things, new items, offers, and promotions that are relevant to them.

the product as well as the ratings made by those who have purchase histories.
