millilitre of liquid for IV Injection is available. How many millilitres will you 
administer?

Desired Dose: 30 mg of Furosemide


On Hand: 10 mg of Furosemide

Saline Solution to run for 4 hours. Available stock dose for Heparin is 5000 ‘u’ / 5 ml.
Questions: 

1. How many units of Heparin is needed for the patient? 


Order: 25 units/kg body weight
Solution: 25 units of Heparin x 60 kgs= 1500 units
2. How many milliliters (ml) of Heparin is to be drawn up from the vial?

Desired Dose: 25 units/kg of Heparin
