Understanding and Appreciating Art


Art is a wonderful way to express ourselves. Interms of saying words, we use art to let our
imaginations, thoughts, and ideas into a piece and be appreciated by those peoples that we
want to know the beauty in it. Art is not only an expression of beauty and creativity; it is also the
reflection of the times. Art is created not only beacause of the techniques, styles and design, it
is also about the message of the art that is potraying to us. Art comes in different platforms it
could be painting, music, literature and last is dance. Art is all around us, you just don’t see it
but rather you admire it because it gives special meaning to everyone of us.

After we tackel our lesson in Art, I think a lot of times that Whenever art comes in my
mind it is either music, paintings, sculptures, drawings, portraits, or dance, I feel inspired in a
way that it gives me happiness. Art also influences our emotions and feelings, an interaction
where we not just make a physical contact but instead it connects our entire being to it. Looking
at arts also changes our perpectives in the world thus this also shows us our relation with art. I
realized that art offers way of understanding the meaning of life and how beauty and pleasure
could be part of existence. It also combines the imaginary world with reality that hows the artist
see the peoples and places in his/her own vision through art. Life nowadays is advanced and
modernized, so arts holds a very significant role. It restors the society by translatng through
space and time, creating art that represent our society nowadays brings knowledge for peoples
of whats happening in the reality life. Art changes our way of living and thinking, it elevates our
mood, it improves our ability to solve problems and open our minds to new ideas. And also
when we are talking about art, it is also about learning the different peoples that lives behind the
works of the artist and what they went through to create that type of work. it is right to assert that
art has the power to move people in many ways and this is how it changes the world.

In overall, Contemporary art and traditional art may be differ in the way art is being
recognize but one thing that I learned in it is, through art we can communicate with people who
we want to inspire and be influenced by the good things we can see in arts. As an audience I
appreciate what others make. Art connects people by offering an idea they can relate to. It is
important as it helps to improve and learns in areas of communication, expression and historical
understanding.
