SITXWHS003 Assessment 2 - WHS Training

Session
You are to be observed conducting a training session (minimum 20 minutes) on Workplace Health,
Safety and (WHS) to a group of your colleagues (group of 4).  
You are to focus on WHS policies and procedures in the hospitality environment including hazard
identification and reporting,risk assessment and reporting and incident and accident reporting. In
your training session, you are to: 
• Ensure you explain the relevant WHS information, including company specific details accurately
and clearly to you staff. 
• Make all relevant WHS information readily accessible. 
• Provide an opportunity for your group to contribute to WHS though facilitation and discussion.  
• Action any issues that are raised. 
• Ensure you outline your process for identifying and reporting hazards and risks in your workplace.  
• Include procedures for incident and accident reporting. 
• Evaluate the effectiveness of your session by following up with participants.  
• Be Professional, well presented, prepared and clear in your presentation  
• Use a powerpoint presentation to clearly outline your organisational policies and procedures.  
• Provide handouts as required to each person in your group. 
Participants in each group will be assessed on their involvement, as it is the responsibility of
everyone to participate in WHS&S. This means you need to take an interest in each session.  
The groups will be rotated to ensure a fair mix of participants
