to PARLE G INDUSTRY HUBLI

Respected Sir,

On receiving the permission to visit PARLE G

INDUSTRY HUBLI,as per the information received
from Prof. SHRIVATSA GUDI Sir to all the
students, we all prepared ourself for the visit and
approx 64 students with faculty members went on an
industrial visit to the factory on 05/04/2021. We all
assembled at the college premises by 9:50am and left
the college by 10:20 in a bus. An incharge Mr.
Basavraj of production received us at the entrance
and we were asked to assemble in a seminar hall
where he gave a brief introduction about the factory.
We all were wearing masks and caps for safety
purpose. Then he took us to the plant and explained
the process of production in the making of biscuits.
The workers were doing their task concentrated. He
showed us the lab where the raw materials undergo
fine testing before going into the making of biscuits.
The raw material used is wheat flour, sugar, dalda
oil, skimmed milk powder and salts.
Then we saw different process of manufacturing:
1. Mixing of the ingredients i.e wheat flour, sugar.
Edible oil, salt, milk powder, then it goes to the
dough making machine which is associated with a
roller which moulds the dough to a particular shape.

2.After molding, it takes the unique shape of Parle G

with its brand name embedded on it.

3. After that it passes through a conveyor, the

conveyor passes through series of 9 Ovens. The
temperature maintained is in between 180-330 degree
Celsius.

4. The quality of the biscuits is neatly checked during

the process by the support staff continuously.

5. After baking, it again passes through conveyor

belts for cooling process. After cooling of the fresh
baked biscuits it is collected in a sorting machine
and goes for wrapping and packaging. They use eco-
friendly packaging material to avoid PVC in it.

6. Then the Packets are collected through a channel

and sent to godown for distribution. The quality is
not compromised as it goes through Quality Control
Processes.

After getting back from the Plant, we were again

asked to assemble in the seminar hall for queries and
discussions. We spent 1-2 hours and while leaving, we
were given a Parle G Biscuit as a complement to
every single student and faculty members. We left
the premises at 1:40 pm. It was informative,
interesting and successful visit. As a student of MBA,
we learned few Mechanical Applications and about
machines.
We express our heartful thanks to Director H.N.
ShivPrasad Sir, who permitted us to go the industrial
visit and we also thanks to our faculty members Prof.
POOJA AINAPUR Mam, Prof. MANISH
KOTHARI Sir and Prof. SHRIVATSA JOSHI Sir
accompanied us to the industry and gave us some
brief intro prior to the visit. On behalf of the
students, we kindly request you to arrange more
industrial visits so that students get exposure to the
industries and gain some knowledge out of it.
