• Before we start...
We have 2 different avocados to make! We have the
"inverted pit" avocado and the "seed pit" avocado. Each one
has a different pattern. The pattern for the back of the
avocado is the same for both!

• Getting started
Let's start with making the avocados!
We will first make the seed pit avocado.

Let's make the front part, then do the inverted pit after!

Seed Pit: (Make 1)


In Brown

Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)


Round 2: *Inc* in every st all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc* all around (18)

Round 7: Switch to Light Yellow, In FLO (Front Loop Only), *Inc, Sc 3* all

Round 8: In BOTH Loops, *Inc, Sc 4* all around (36)


Round 9: *Sc* all around (36)
Round 10-11: Turn, Ch 1, Sc in next 12 St. (12)
Round 12: Turn, Ch 1, Skip next St, Sc in next 9 St, Skip next St, Sc in last St. (10)

of the avocado!

FACE:
Let's add the face to the avocados!

Eyes: Use 5mm Safety Eyes or I used 3mm beads for eyes. Place eyes in the
middle of head, 3 stitches apart.

Smile: Using embroidery thread, insert needle about 2 stitches below eye, lining
up with the eye. Pull thread through (Pic 1). Now insert needle the same distance
from eye to mouth and pull thread through (Pic 2). Insert needle in same direction
we just went to complete the smile (Pic 3).

Arms & legs:


Round 1: In green. Insert hook into green edge of avocado. Ch 4 and finish off. Repeat

for all 4 limbs.

When finishing off the top of the arm/leg, don't cut the piece at the end of the

arm/leg. Instead leave a tail and weave yarn into arm then weave it into the body. This

will look much better than having a cut off knot at the end of the arm/leg.
