1. Find the Pythagorean triplet whose one member is 20.

2. Find the square of 62 without actual multiplication.

3. Which is the smallest number that has to be multiplied with 392 so that the
product is a perfect cube?

4. What is the length of the edge of a cube whose volume is 729 cm3?

II Do as directed (6 × 3 = 18)

7. ABCD is a parallelogram. Find the value of x, y and z.

8. Natasha thinks of a number and subtracts 3 from it and multiplies the result
by 9. The product now is 7 times the number she thought of. What is the
number?
9. Find the smallest square number that is divisible by each of the numbers 6, 8
and 15.
10. In a school of 4500 students, the PT teacher wants to make students sit in
rows in such a way that the number of students in each row is the same as the
number of rows. Find out how many students left out as a result of this
arrangement.
11. Find the smallest number by which 500 must be divided to make a perfect
cube and also find the cube root of the number obtained.

13. i) In a quadrilateral PQRS, the angles P, Q, R, S are in the ratio 1:2:3:4, find

14. i) Anuj has ₹ 1000 in denominations of ₹ 5 and ₹ 2 coins. If the number of


two- rupee coins is five-eighths of the number of five- rupee coins, how
many coins of each type does Anuj have?

7.35 ×1022 kg. What is the sum of the masses of the Earth and the Moon?
