Education First Semester – First Quarter Performance Task # 2 Fitness Advocacy: A Dance for Life Experts define physical fitness as “one's ability to execute daily activities with optimal performance, endurance, and strength with the management of disease, fatigue, and stress and reduced sedentary behaviour, thus, it provides strong bones and muscles, leads to better health and well-being, prevents various health problems, reduces the risk of several diseases like blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, etc. and improves a better quality of life. In this lifetime especially now that it is pandemic, physical fitness and good health is necessary to achieve. Because of this, I would like to be an advocate who promotes the importance of life by being engage in physical activities to achieve the fitness we want. And, of course, being an advocate means having an advocacy. And my advocacy is “Fitness Advocacy: A Dance for Life”. A Dance for Life fitness advocacy is encouraging all individuals especially the youth and children in our barangay to participate and spend their whole one hour a day every morning doing zumba: fusion of different exercises and dances with lots of benefits for our body and health. In this advocacy we want to achieve the right fitness and create a healthy lifestyle and habits that we could practice for a lifetime. We want the people who’ll participate in this event to feel valued and happy. Achieving the stress-free and calmness of each other mind, the beautiful sound of their beating hearts together with the dance of their lives. Team is the backbone in every advocacy that has been made and it is so crucial to build a team who’ll help you throughout the project. With this, I think that the most fit to be my team are the ones who is closer to me – my family. Every member of the family will have their own designated function and responsibility to do. Everyone has the discipline to do their jobs from the team leader down to instructors/assistants. In setting goals, a program will be presented in our barangay’s gymnasium making sure that the new normal protocols will be observed. Alcohols and sanitizers will be seen in front. The number of people who’ll participate will limit by 50 participants every session. The number of session will be depend on the people who’ll join in. In talks of the items that are needed there will be absolutely nothing because we want to conduct a project with a budget-friendly. The budget will be only spend to buy meriendas and water for the participants. Bunch of pictures and videos will also be captured to document the said event. There will also be a fb page where we will do fb lives, posts pictures and videos all the moments and memories shared with the people. After the event, we will have reflections, realizations on what they’ve experience throughout the whole project. We are hoping to see you there, ka-zumba!
