I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the pupil should be able to:
A. Define Expression and Equation
B. Identify if it is Expression or Equation
II. Subject Matter/Topic:
Topic: Difference between Expression and Equations
References (Online and Non-Online): Internet
Materials: Cartolina and marker

III. Methodologies
A. Preliminary Activities:
A1. Prayer
A2. Greetings
A3. Checking of Attendance
A4. Review (of the past lesson)
A5. Motivation
* The teacher will prepare some activities based on the topic.
A6. Reading of objectives and subject matter:
*The pupils will read the objectives.
*The teacher will explain the objectives to achieve their lesson.
* The teacher will discuss the lesson.

B. Engage
* The teacher will present some materials infront of the students.
*After, The teacher present she will solve every problem with solution
*The teacher will provide some activity
* Then, The students will answer the question

C. Explore
*The students will have some task to study about expressions and Equation.
*The teacher will allow the students to have some mistakes to give them freedom to explore.
*The teacher will ask some questions about if their solving is correct.
*The students will give their thoughts about what they have learned on this topic.

D. Explain
Expression

- Is a sentence with a minimum of two numbers and at least are math operations.
Equation
- Is a statement that assert the equality of two expressions, which are connected by the equal sign.

Examples:
A.) X+5 Expression.
X=3
3+5=8
B.) 2d
D=10
2×10=20
C.) 9+n=11
9+n=11
-9. -9
N=2

E. Extend/Elaborate
* Explain the difference between expression and equation
* Recap the topic if the students analyze the topic.

* The teacher will proceed to another topic if the students analyze the lesson.

F. Evaluate
A teacher will make sure if the students understand the topic, otherwise the teacher will extend the activity.

The teacher will give some task to evaluate a students learnings.

The following activity:

Answer the following for 2 points each items and identify if it is equation or expression.

Solve the following:

1. 10 + x
2. N+5=9
3. T÷5=25
4. 10E
5. 5x

IV. Assignment:
Give 5 example of Expression and Equation.
