How did the geography of the Mongol Empire change over time?

- Basically, the Mongol empire started with a normal and common space, with time
due to fights, conquests, and distribution the space started to become extremely
large, so much so that it had more than 100 million inhabitants, then they decided to
divide the empire in 4 parts.

What was lifelike for the nomads in Mongolia before the Mongol Empire?

- Principally, the Mongols lived on the Mongolian plateau, where they settled down,
created a system of kingship, allied with other tribes, provoked wars, recaptured the
wife of a Khan's wife thanks to the unions and finally the empire was created.

What techniques did Genghis Khan use in battle?

- More than techniques were the use of different tools, for example the created a very
advanced siege engine called a trebuchet. It had a range of nearly 1,000 feet. The
Mongols used the weapon to hurl gunpowder bombs over city walls. No Chinese
weapon was as powerful. The Mongols placed many Chinese cities and forts under
siege.

What were some of Genghis Khan’s accomplishments as a ruler?

- Genghis Khan’s law code was called the Yassa. It was based on the laws that the
tribal Mongols followed before the Mongol Empire. Genghis Khan divided the
Mongol Empire into four sections, called Khanates.

- After the death of Genghis Khan there was a power dispute between the sons, finally
Ogedei took it for 12 years, he died, then there was another power problem, Kublai
declared himself emperor, and what he did was to expand territory, increase the
economy, declare social classes, create a new alphabet, legalize the paper money
and create a maritime transport system, it is worth clarifying that he did not accept
much other customs.
