B. Establishing a Purpose for the Lesson


The first and the third letters of the given words above are of consonant letters, while the
second letter is a vowel. That makes it a Consonant- Vowel- Consonant Pattern or what we call the
CVC pattern.

Activity 1
Take a look at each picture. Read them first. Choose the word, phrase, or sentence that best
describes the picture.

But he marked it wrong
Miss Fajardo: Oh, I see.
Give me your paper. I shall take note of it.
Elisha: Thank you, Ma’am!
