PED 339 Secondary Video Lessons Instruction
PED 339 Secondary Video Lessons Instruction
This assignment will require that you teach a skill and a lead-up game for a specific
sport of your choice to students, record you and the students while you are teaching.
You may substitute several family members for students. The lessons that you teach
will be prepared as if you are teaching in the classroom and must include a detailed
lesson plan that you will submit the Week 8 (specific sport skill) and Week 9 (lead-up
game to specific sport). My suggestion is to present your lesson initially in a step by
step manner with your goal to be for the class to learn the skill or lead-up game in its
entirety at the end of the presentation. Because of time restraints, your lesson should
not exceed 12 minutes; however, your lesson plan (see “modules” for template) should
include enough activity to comprise a 40-minute lesson.
The NASPE Standards you are required to have within your lesson plan can be located
in the PED 339 Course Resources/Materials and/or at the Mississippi Department of
Education website. You will also be able to find objectives and core strands at this
website. Each of your objectives should begin as follows: The student will…
You may use any resource for lesson planning. Please do not forget to site the URL.
DO NOT be inhibited. Have a good time.
Further instructions are as follows:
Upload the videos that you record in Week 8 (specific sport skill) and Week 9 (Lead-up
game to a specific sport). The videos must be compressed and should be no more than
12 minutes and no less than 10 minutes. Keep in mind that file size is limited to 500
MB.
