Business Interview (Example)
2. I’m going to ask you a number of questions for your suitability for the role. So if you can start with if
you can tell me about yourself.
Yes of course. As you know my name is Radjina. Over the years I’ve built up skills and qualities that I
believe are a match for this job description. I am very hard working and I am enthusiastic to get started
in a role that I believe I will enjoy. I am also a very determined person who genuinely want to make a
positive impact in my first job.
My career is important to me and I want to start off in a job where there is lots to learn, where I will
have the opportunity to take on lots of challenging tasks and where I will have to perform to a
consistently high standard to help my team.
I researched your company quite a bit before the interview, and not only do your costumers love your
products and services, but people I have spoken to about your business had nothing but positive things
to say.
I am passionate about working in this industry and although this is going to be my first job, I see this as a
place I can stay working at for a long period of time whilst continually developing professionally in the
position
My strengths include my positive and cheery attitude to life, I genuinely believe you get out of life what
you are willing to put in.
I am also a fast learner and I can retain a lot of information quickly. This means I will be able to get up an
running in the role quickly. Other strengths include my desire to work as part of a team and support my
colleagues to complete their duties as well as my own, and also my loyalty, honesty and integrity.
If you put your trust in me and hire me within this position, I will not let you down and I will be a proud
member of your team.
My weakness is that I sometimes take on too much, and I find it hard to say no to people. On occasions,
this approach hasn’t helped me as I simply can’t let people down. I then end up putting too much
pressure on myself to do things for others. However, I am learning to say no when the time is right.
From a work perspective, I actually think this will be a strength, as I will always work hard and I will do
everything to the best of my abilities.
6. Tell me about a time when you provided excellent customer service?
Although I have never held a job where I’ve had to give excellent service, I do know how to provide it. I
understand that in this job it is my responsibility to give your customers brilliant service, because that
encourages them to come back to the company.
For example, last week I entered a store and the customer service assistant immediately welcomed me
with a smile. They took the time to ask me questions about the goods I wanted to purchase, and they
offered suggestions about the different products they had available. Then they wrapped up my purchase
before taking my payment and wishing me a good day before I went on my way. Now because they
were so nice, and they made me feel welcomed and valued, I have since returned on several occasions. I
understand how important it is to provide great service and I will always make sure I represent your
business positively when dealing with customers.
7. We’ve reached the end of the interview. It’s been lovely interviewing you today and we’ll be in
touch very soon. Thank you.
Thank you very much for interviewing me. I’ve really enjoyed the process, it’s been great.
